I finally finished something. This is a second edition AMT kit. Not the original,but the one after it. It was partially built,missing parts,and molded in a dark red. For some reason,they changed the custom hubcaps after the firat issue. These look 64 Corvette caps. It's painted Testor's purple,with a white interior. It's not detailed at all. It supposed to be a 60's custom,the way thay built them back then. The tires are from the Revell 64 Chevy pickup,I believe.

John , It gets MY vote because you had the audacity to use a very obscure color , Testor's Lt Purple which is as close to the Darker purple sold in 1963 when that kit was talked up in Car Craft magazine by then, Budd Anderson . Thanks for allowing me back into my most favored tome , the 60's .

Ellen,thanks for the compliments. Yes it is an unusual color. This is the first model I ever painted light purple.

Haryy,You're right. I noticed that too after I posted the pics. It's better now. I had to really push on it to get it down where it belonged.
