pharoah
I finally finished something. This is a second edition AMT kit. Not the original, but the one after it. It was partially built, missing parts, and molded in a dark red. For some reason, they changed the custom hubcaps after the firat issue. These look 64 Corvette caps. It's painted Testor's purple, with a white interior. It's not detailed at all. It supposed to be a 60's custom, the way thay built them back then. The tires are from the Revell 64 Chevy pickup,I believe.
Eshaver
John , It gets MY vote because you had the audacity to use a very obscure color , Testor's Lt Purple which is as close to the Darker purple sold in 1963 when that kit was talked up in Car Craft magazine by then, Budd Anderson . Thanks for allowing me back into my most favored tome , the 60's .
Harry P.
Looks like the bed isn't sitting right, but otherwise I love the "old school" vibe, Pretty cool!
pharoah
Ellen, thanks for the compliments. Yes it is an unusual color. This is the first model I ever painted light purple. Haryy,You're right. I noticed that too after I posted the pics. It's better now. I had to really push on it to get it down where it belonged.

gatorincebu
Nice looking build. To me it is more reminiscent of a 50's custom truck. OR should I say .What I remember to be like. be Well Gator
