Jonj238 Posted June 13, 2015 Posted June 13, 2015 Does anyone own this kit? The description on Mega Hobby lists it as 5 1/8" tall and 6 7/8" wide. Is this true? That seems really wide. I'm wondering if they have the measurements backward. I really want one of these but the plexiglass covered shelf I have to display my trucks is only a little over 5 1/2" wide.
ranma Posted June 13, 2015 Posted June 13, 2015 Model roundup say's Revell sold out of this trailer and already disscontuned it.
crazyjim Posted June 13, 2015 Posted June 13, 2015 I have one on the way, so ask me next week and I'll measure it.
modelercarl Posted June 13, 2015 Posted June 13, 2015 I have 3 built up for displaying built cars and just measured one... it is 4 3/4" high over the highest point, 4 7/8" over the widest part, and 23 3/8" long.
disabled modeler Posted June 14, 2015 Posted June 14, 2015 Model roundup say's Revell sold out of this trailer and already disscontuned it. Well that figures....probably would not show up at our hobby lobby anyway i guess....bummer.
Jonj238 Posted June 14, 2015 Author Posted June 14, 2015 Thanks for the measurements. I ordered one. Good way to display some of my Mopars I built years ago. The trailer is still in stock at hobbylinc.com for those of you who are wanting one. Hey Tom, if you measure from the ground to the top of your highest camaro, how many inches is it? looks like around 8" to me.
Rob Hall Posted June 14, 2015 Posted June 14, 2015 Ordered one from Model Roundup the other day, on the way..I figure this will be nice to use in a diorama display eventually..maybe w/ an AMT Ford C class cab and a load of '70-71 Ford products..
dantewallace Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 Anyone heard any answers as to why the discontinuation? We were never told it was a limited run, so what gives?
Petetrucker07 Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 I think Revell under priced it. Not that I'm complaining about paying 40 bucks, but I would've paid 60 for this trailer.
RAMBENNA Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 I got two and will get some more, almost done building the 1st one
Petetrucker07 Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 Hobbylinc.com is out of stock. But they are saying more will be in in Aug.
crazyjim Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 Do you paint the thing first and then glue it together?
tbill Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 If I get a chance tonight I will measure it for you. Yes, paint all parts first, then assemble, much easier that way. Also of note, the plumbing diagram sucks for the hydraulic lines, and you have to make holes or fittings for the rams for the hoses to attach to them.
tbill Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 Jon, I have it in a display case, toward the front, so I had to measure it in an eyeball kinda way [case is a paint to move to get into], but it looks to be 6 1/2 to maybe 7 tall from 'ground' to car roof top.

kilrathy10 Posted June 21, 2015 Posted June 21, 2015 http://megahobby.com still has some.... And from what I hear, they have plenty.....
Mr mopar Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Just read that it will be reiussed but at a higher price.
Petetrucker07 Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Just read that it will be reiussed but at a higher price. That wouldn't surprise one bit. Not that I'm complaining, but I think they under priced it and realized it when the first run flew off shelves.
tim boyd Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 Jon at Model Cave in Ypsilanti, MI, apparently ordered a batch of these and today he told me most of them were gone. He had only seven left when I visited today, and his price seemed to me to be below what I was expecting. His store is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays....recommend you give him a call on Wednesday if you are still looking for this trailer. TIM
Casey Posted December 10, 2015 Posted December 10, 2015 Just read that it will be reiussed but at a higher price.Tower Hobbies has them in stock, priced at $39.95 w/free shipping.
