JTalmage Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 (edited) Started this one about 2 weeks ago. It's a commission build for a friend. He had an '01 GT that was True Blue and he had wrecked it and had a 99-01 Cobra nose put on it. Then road raced it for a time before he sold it. He had Bullitt wheels on it for a while too. Closest thing I could find was the 22" Pegasus wheels. Painted the centers Model Masters Anthracite and painted the car Duplicolor Ford True Blue. LOTS of massaging to get the wheels to fit and look halfway decent. Even recreated his old Ohio custom plate he had for it. I also used pieces of old rabbit ear antennas to make the exhaust tips. Enjoy and let me know what you think Edited August 11, 2015 by JTalmage
Modlbldr Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 That turned out very nice. He should be quite happy with it.Later-
Devilsnake98 Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 (edited) It's nice to see one of these built up instead of used as a parts kit. Looks very nice and clean, well done! Edited August 11, 2015 by Devilsnake98

Helix Posted August 22, 2015 Posted August 22, 2015 That looks real nice Jesse, like how you toned down the rims with a different shade of colour, really sets the the whole car off

JTalmage Posted August 22, 2015 Author Posted August 22, 2015 Thanks folks. I wish it was mine! It will go to its home soon!
Kornnut Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 Gene Fine?Yeah. To stay on topic I got the same model and I was going to use a Boss 302 motor, wheels from a Hertz GT and a few other things.
JTalmage Posted August 24, 2015 Author Posted August 24, 2015 (edited) Small world. And that sounds like it would be a killer project! This car was actually built for Gene to replicate his old 02 GT or whatever year it was that he used to road race. Edited August 24, 2015 by JTalmage
Can-Con Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 Looks great. Nice to see one of those built, it's been years since last time I seen one.
