Dann Tier Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 (edited) this is a Minicraft kit that I hand painted to honor my favorite band -next to RAMMSTEIN, that is! Sorry, my photo disk was scratched where the other side was shown, it was all Yellow Submarine stuff, with Ringo and Paul looking out the windows. Edited October 19, 2015 by Dann Tier

HotRodaSaurus Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 (edited) A great model, not seen many of these built and this one is different. I built one in boring maroon and black. You may be interested in this Dann. It is a replica of the original Phantom 5 that John Lennon commissioned. it is not as some describe 'Psychedelic' but rather in the style of Gypsy caravans and canal barge decoration. The original was sold by Lennon to pay off some debts but disappeared from view a few years ago in Canada(?) I read someplace and has not been seen for years, this version of the car was built with the help of the painters of the original vehicle with the same patterns etc so people today could enjoy it. Well, sort of One of the original builders of John Lennons car told me that at Park Royal coachworks, when they heard who this was for the management told them to just get on and build it with no special emphasis on who it was for etc. To Rolls he was just a pop star, nobody really special such as Her majesty I am certainly no expert on this car but those are the basics. I spotted this vehicle at a Rolls Royce(NEVER a Roller) specialist near Southend on Sea in Essex UK and was going to add it to the topic "What did you see today?" but thought you may like it here.poor pics as I took these with a mobile phone through the windows(as the workshop was closed and they did not like walk in non customers) J Edited October 20, 2015 by HotRodaSaurus text added
