Hay Haulers and Flat Beds..

Recommended Posts

Hi Rich, yes I think it would make a nice model.  Don't remember seeing a hay hauler type truck here on the forum.  I like it, looks clean, it's different, and solves my lacking shelf room for as trailer.  I'd have to lengthen the frame out back a little bit, but it's not finished anyway.   Hmm, sounding better all the time now.

Michael... you can always build a trailer(s), just display like this.

Here ya go Michael. Let me know if you want more. There are a few that can be built from kits that are readily available.

if you want the trailer you could do stacked and headed home like Claytons cab over Pete pic, it's a very common thing to see in California, Nevada, Arizona, we even see some out here in Colorado, I'll try and get some pictures for you.

Hi Rich, yep, I'd like to see more pics.  This direction is really looking good to me.  Flat bed now, maybe later on just a trailer as a smaller project.

What really intrigues me is that these loads actually run like this, I'd of thought no way could hay be stacked so high without being otherwise secured on a moving vehicle.

Found this sweety too on Hank's Truck Site;

Man these haulers kill me.  I'm going for it.

OK.  On a couple of pics I can faintly see front to back ropes, some have them on the sides too, thanks for the info.   Still seems a little weird.  Clayton, about burning, what caused the spark?

It could be caused by almost anything. It gets hot down here, up to 120 degrees and the road surface can up to 200! Cig butts, a spark from a dragging chain, ive seen a few go up from a brake or bearing going out, to someone doing deliberately. When hay gets dry, it's like dry brush fire or old Christmas tree, it doesn't take much.

Man I can imagine how that pile goes up in flames.

So, now I've reached the point of no return.  I'm building a hay hauler.  I just stretched the frame a little bit behind the wheels, need some room for all those bales.

Oh yeah, hooked for sure.

Guys, please post your stash pics of hay haulers, these rigs are just too outrageous, my opinion.  I'd love to see some details!
