dshue76 Posted June 3, 2016 Posted June 3, 2016 I got this a while back and it kind of stalled until I found decals that inspired me. The paint is acrylic craft paint with Testors gloss clear acryl. Decals are from the AMT Ford C600 Stakebed and from an old set of Slixx for Ward Burtons CAT Dodge. It's built out of the box except the rear bumper, I think it's from an AMT Chevy C1500. Thanks for looking. And more pictures are in my Photobucket http://s22.photobucket.com/user/truracer20/slideshow/AMT Chevy Van
gatorincebu Posted June 3, 2016 Posted June 3, 2016 That looks good ! I like the tool company sponsor decals. Be Well Gator
dshue76 Posted June 4, 2016 Author Posted June 4, 2016 (edited) Thanks guys.At some point I am going to build the AMT Ford Phantom van as a contractors van and I'm going to open the rear and side cargo doors on it and do some interior detailing and give it some ladder racks. shoopdog Posted June 14, 2016 Posted June 14, 2016 Very nice, looks like it could just be pulling up to a job sight.
darthsideous Posted June 19, 2016 Posted June 19, 2016 Looks good! Is this the reissue amt rescue van?
dshue76 Posted June 24, 2016 Author Posted June 24, 2016 Yes it is the reissue. This one was molded in red and had a lot of flash. Also the rear sits really high if built per instructions. On this build the rear axle is touching the frame and is still higher than I wanted... If I ever build another I will try to raise the front ride height a little.
iamsuperdan Posted June 24, 2016 Posted June 24, 2016 I'm almost finished this one too. Lots of thoughts about the kit itself. Really like how yours turned out.
