Samiches Posted July 20, 2016 Posted July 20, 2016 A quick build of a battery operated plastic model kit.
Robberbaron Posted July 21, 2016 Posted July 21, 2016 Huh, never knew such a kit existed. Body actually looks pretty accurate. Nice job.
Bob Ellis Posted July 21, 2016 Posted July 21, 2016 Rather unusual steering wheel position... Is it my imagination , or is the seat higher than the steering wheel? I have that kit and the box says "1964 GTO" no kidding
Samiches Posted July 21, 2016 Author Posted July 21, 2016 Is it my imagination , or is the seat higher than the steering wheel? I have that kit and the box says "1964 GTO" no kiddingYes, apparently they thought this was a 1964 GTO. Not very close at all. The lack of interior detail is because the space between the bottom of the car and the interior is where 4 AA batteries are suppose to reside along with the motor.
Snake45 Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 Nice Model Great color really like this ??Agree completely!
Samiches Posted July 22, 2016 Author Posted July 22, 2016 Nice Model Great color really like this ??Thanks XJ6 and Snake. The color is Castillian Bronze and I got it from Scale finishes. I used one of those cheap Preval sprayers, which worked out better than anticipated.
ChrisR Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 Very nice build! It is such a pity that they never put a decent interior in the model.
feretzrus Posted July 25, 2016 Posted July 25, 2016 Very well done, never seen one built before, you are a brave soul to tackle one of these Doyoshas. I have some of the Japanese cars they do and it's maddening to have no chassis detail and minimal interior detail.
Bob Ellis Posted July 26, 2016 Posted July 26, 2016 The color is great . I have seen it in the sme color 1:1
