Fanof69 Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 (edited) Hi Everyone. Doing some research on here about this kit I came to realize that you kinda like this kit or you totally despise this kit. I set out to just make it look the best I could. Unfortunately I dont think I quite accomplished that goal but I think it turned out alright. Paint is Rustoleum Sail Blue straight from the can with a couple coats of Future. Redline tire decals are from the Revell '67 Camero kit. And as usual my foil work could be better. It really is my least favorite part of model building, but really necessary for a more realistic look. Anyway the pics. Thanks for looking. Edited September 27, 2016 by Fanof69
MemyselfandI Posted September 28, 2016 Posted September 28, 2016 I love the GTO, it looks great, love the color and the outdoors pictures.
Snake45 Posted September 28, 2016 Posted September 28, 2016 Not bad at all. You got a nice finish with that Rustoleum. Model on!
Carmak Posted September 28, 2016 Posted September 28, 2016 Nice job on your Rustolem paint! Nice clean build. I built one of the pre-painted body versions about 10 years ago. I really like they way they look. I lowered the rear suspension and changed the wheels but built it stock otherwise.
Bob Ellis Posted September 28, 2016 Posted September 28, 2016 Despite the premise, it is not really a snap kit. I guess it is possible, but I had to cut and shave everything to get it to fit. The original AMT 1964 is my favorite for shape and simplicity less detail but it fits nice.
Fanof69 Posted October 1, 2016 Author Posted October 1, 2016 Thanks for the kind words guys. Despite the premise, it is not really a snap kit. I guess it is possible, but I had to cut and shave everything to get it to fit. The original AMT 1964 is my favorite for shape and simplicity less detail but it fits nice. Thanks Bob. Yeah I did an awful lot of gluing and massaging on this "snap" kit
Funkychiken Posted October 1, 2016 Posted October 1, 2016 Really nice build, and love the countryside in the background...
Yo Jutt Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 Nothing to be ashamed of here! Looks sharp love the interior.
AC Norton Posted November 18, 2016 Posted November 18, 2016 .....looks pretty darn nice in my eyes......great work on that GTO.........the Ace....
Geno Posted November 19, 2016 Posted November 19, 2016 (edited) It looks fine Terry. I think the Monogram '64 GTO is the best kit version of all. It builds out super nice. JMHO though. Edited November 19, 2016 by Geno
