oldcarfan
You've kind of dropped a bomb on us all! LOL! Everyone is going to want details. I'll start with this; Is that how it looked coming right out of the printer? Really nice.

mod3l Lover
You have to make a mold of that truck, that's allthere is to it!! I look forward to seeing the progress on this one. David S.
mike s
Are you printing the cab and the bed both ? How thick is it compared to the original kit ? How about the frame ? No not printing both cab and bed together. Using a 74 truck kit for parts. You need think of it as a old revell kit, print it flat. If you print in pla it will sand like a rock. Print in abs that is model plastic. I print in pla for test shots and abs for the final result the sides are printed with a .6mm tip at speed 50. comes out like 220 to 100 grit. I only use the outer shell not the back, set printer to a thicker shell. 6mm Tip x2 = .047 inch outer shell. Small parts printed at .25 tip at 15 to 25 speed sand out with 400.I can print down to a .013 line. Printing it will give a good start both sids will be the same right or wrong

wrecker388
Awesome! I'm glad I'm not the only person on here who has been using a 3d printer for model parts. Yours are a whole lot better quality than mine though.
wrecker388
I seriously need to get a spool of ABS filament. PLA is sandable, but like you said it is a rock.
