Paul Hettick Posted March 15, 2017 Posted March 15, 2017 Getting close. Need to finish the rear bumper, do a Hubcap, final clean up on body, add scripts and badges. Note the correct grill. Will give birth to a Country Squire as well as a full line of 65 - 68 Ford and Merc wagons. No price point yet.
Ace-Garageguy Posted March 15, 2017 Posted March 15, 2017 Looks good. I'm probably going to need one at some point, had a 1:1 with a 428. Made a great race-car tow vehicle.
Curt Posted March 15, 2017 Posted March 15, 2017 Well, Paul , you've got my attention with all of the masters you posted. Knowing the quality of your work I am very excited to see this,
sfhess Posted March 15, 2017 Posted March 15, 2017 Very nice work Paul. Especially like the "non-LTD" grille.
paul alflen Posted March 15, 2017 Posted March 15, 2017 PAUL, LOVED YOUR MASTERS FOR MODELHAUS , AND LOVE THE 66 GALAXIE WAGON. LET ME KNOW PRICE AND HOW TO PAY FOR IT WHEN ITS AVAILABLE!!!!!!!!!!!! THANKS PAUL
sfhess Posted March 15, 2017 Posted March 15, 2017 One little thing, and I may be wrong. I don't think the side facing "third-row" seats made an appearance until the 1968 model year.

Rob Hall Posted March 15, 2017 Posted March 15, 2017 (edited) Sweet...I'd love to see a '68 Mercury Park Lane 4dr ht (aka Steve McGarrett's Hawaii 5-0 car). Though born in 1970, i have a soft spot for '60s-70s full sizers.... Edited March 15, 2017 by Rob Hall
Ron Hamilton Posted March 16, 2017 Posted March 16, 2017 (edited) put me down for one of the Country Squires. Edited March 16, 2017 by Ron Hamilton
Rodent Posted March 16, 2017 Posted March 16, 2017 Definitely like these. Would be in for some. Had a 1:1 68 County Sedan, so I will be anxiously awaiting the 68. Glad to have you here on the forum!

gbt216 Posted March 16, 2017 Posted March 16, 2017 Oh, this is exciting! I've been waiting for someone to do the '66 Country Sedan for a long time; and I'm glad to know it will have the plain grille unlike the fancier one in the AMT XL kit. We did a lot of vacationing in our Country Sedan. Mom was happy to have power steering, which she did not have on her '63 CS!
DrKerry Posted March 16, 2017 Posted March 16, 2017 Nice!!!!! That will be an nice addition to anyone's collection!!!!

Glad to have you here on the forum! My Dad had a '68 Country Sedan as the "Utility" car when I was in high school. I drove it occasionally. It was Black, wit the Red interior with the dual facing rear seats.
kelson Posted March 17, 2017 Posted March 17, 2017 I'm excitied about this one!,since you're doing the masters will you be casting them as well?or getting someone else?.

Flynlo Posted March 18, 2017 Posted March 18, 2017 (edited) The powder blue photo is identical to our family's 66. With a big block and trailer towing package it hauled our big camping trailer with ease and also surprised many a teenager at stoplights. We next had a '71 CS set up the same. After that the old man had to resort to pick ups for towing the trailer as horsepower had dissapeared in the energy crisis.Put me down for one then get to mastering the '71! ? socal76 Posted March 18, 2017 Posted March 18, 2017 Paul, is it just the pic or is there a dip on the ridge towards the back of the passenger door on the driver's side? If it is just the pic it is looking really nice and loook forward to seeing them cast.
