HDDan
I started this one about 14 years ago. I pulled it out blew the dust off it and resumed construction. Please let me know what you think.

espo
I like that. The chopped top doesn't look out of proportion to the body and that isn't always the case. Great paint finish.

HDDan
I think the reason it came out so proportional is the way I kept the windshield and the back glass The same size. It took some very tender heating and bending of the"A" pillers I used the testors model masters black lacquer and clear lacquer. I should have used a primer because I ended up using 2.5 cans of the base coat. An extra $12. For educational purposes. I found out that lacquer doesn't like to be rubbed with synthetic clothes. I am quite pleased with the results considering this is only my second model. I have to admit that I cheated a bit I've help built and paint a few show winning 1:1 cars. Smitty
Your paint job does look really good on this one Dan, and I don't see what you've accomplished as cheating. You happen to have a particular skill that just happens to come in handy for model building!

HDDan
A nice paint job with good gap and takeoff are harder to achieve on a model than a 1:
