Chuck Most Posted March 27, 2018 Posted March 27, 2018 This was mostly thrown together box stock, other than the addition of big and little tires and Cragar wheels from the Monogram '37 Ford coupe, a parts box side view mirror (Revell '64 Impala, maybe?) and aluminum tube exhaust tips.
espo Posted March 27, 2018 Posted March 27, 2018 Nice clean looking Day 2 model. These were far better cars than most people realize.
89AKurt Posted March 27, 2018 Posted March 27, 2018 Nice! Bare Metal foil used? I knew someone with one of these, but a hardtop. Took him down to the Maricopa junkyard south of Phoenix because he needed brake drums, none around. Funny how cars have memories for you.
Robberbaron Posted March 28, 2018 Posted March 28, 2018 Just right! Sure don't see too many of these built and posted anymore.
Foxer Posted March 28, 2018 Posted March 28, 2018 This almost makes you want to go out and buy one, well, almost. Very nice job!
misterNNL Posted March 28, 2018 Posted March 28, 2018 Thanks for showing us this model. My wife had a '61 sedan when we got married in 1964 that got great mileage, had a leather interior and was an all around great little car.We sold it when we got married and used that $ 400.00 to buy all of our furniture(!).Times have surely changed !
TooOld Posted March 28, 2018 Posted March 28, 2018 Best way to build one of these is stock with a wheel & tire upgrade , great looking Lark !
OldTrucker Posted March 28, 2018 Posted March 28, 2018 I remember a few of these around here back when I was in grade school thru Jr high! Mostly from the local college campus! I always liked the little Studes and this one is exceptional!
restoman Posted March 28, 2018 Posted March 28, 2018 Nice job. Who makes the kit? Might be on my wish list...

Bare Metal foil was used on the scripts- I applied it to the raw plastic then knocked off the primer and paint rather than try to foil each individual letter. As far as I know it hasn't been reissued since the '80's but they're still out there. Thanks guys!
