crowe-t
Does anyone know off hand of a solid (NOT Metallic) Dark Charcoal Gray Automotive Paint? Possibly a paint code? I need this for a project.
mikemodeler
check out Tamiya TS-48 Gun Gray, not 100% sure if it metallic, but thought it isn't.
StevenGuthmiller
If you want a dark non-metallic gray, how about trying some Duplicolor sandable gray primer for your color. It's very dark gray. A few coats of clear & you're done. Steve

crowe-t
I'd like to use a lacquer. I do have Duplicolor Sandable Gray primer which is the color I need. I was concerned it wouldn't be that durable even with clear coat. I'll have to test it. Tamiya TS-48 Gunship Gray might work too.

I use the white primer for color coat often. Mostly for tops. Steve
Snake45
Model Master Euro 1 gray is flat. I suspect that Tamiya Gunship Gray is, too. Gunship Gray is lighter than Euro 1 Gray. Have you checked out what's available in Krylon, Rustoleum, etc? Here's Krylon's rattlecan grays: http://www.krylon.com/spray-paint-color-center/colors/gray-spray-paint/ If you're airbrushing, of course you can mix up whatever shade of gray you want out of gloss black and gloss white. Snake45
Here's what Gunship Gray looks like. Very similar to Plastikote T-235. Is this what you're calling "charcoal gray"? If so, here you go: https://www.missionmodelsus.com/products/idf-green-afv
SSNJim
Valspar has a color called Gloss Cobalt Cannon which might be about perfect. It is an enamel, but it is not metallic. it might be a little darker than Gunship Gray. I got mine at Lowe's.
