mrmike Posted September 19, 2018 Posted September 19, 2018 This is my '69 Dart GTS 340, painted with Tamiya TS-54 Light Metallic Blue with a white and black interior, white "bumblebee stripe, AMT '71 340 4-Bbl. engine, MAD resin TorqueFlite transmission, and Kelsey-Hayes "Recall" mags.
espo Posted September 19, 2018 Posted September 19, 2018 Great looking color and finish. Nice to see the different wheels you used. I followed your build, this turned out as great as I knew it would.
Curt Posted September 19, 2018 Posted September 19, 2018 Really nice, Mike. You made some excellent choices with this build.
Hmann68 Posted September 19, 2018 Posted September 19, 2018 My gosh that's nice! That Tamiya color you used looks very correct, think I might have to use it on Revell's 68 Charger!! Always love your builds ?
Bucky Posted September 19, 2018 Posted September 19, 2018 That is a gorgeous Dart! The color really stands out!
vamach1 Posted September 19, 2018 Posted September 19, 2018 For about a year in the 1970's I had a 69 GTS 440 magnum 3 speed auto on the column. After spinning the main bearing and being a dumb teenager I sold the car for $500. It was burnt orange with a white vinyl roof and rust in the rear quarters. BTW T your model looks fantastic.
Dragonhawk1066 Posted September 20, 2018 Posted September 20, 2018 That turned out real nice. Great choice on the color.
Jim N Posted September 20, 2018 Posted September 20, 2018 Looks great. Really like the color combination.
mrmike Posted September 21, 2018 Author Posted September 21, 2018 Thank you guys! This was a very satisfying build as I did spend a lot of time on it as well as a lot of time just staring at it sitting on the bench. I see some things that I wish I could correct, but I can't because the Dart has been assembled and I'm not about to tear it apart to correct it. The one thing that I will fix is the air cleaner. It looks horrible! I'll strip it and start over again with a new decal if I can find one in the decal stash. If I don't have one, I'll find an image of one and print it out on decal paper.
