Eric Macleod Posted November 10, 2018 Posted November 10, 2018 (edited) Many years ago I had a notion of building a Thomas Flyer Touring. I used the AMT kit along with fenders from a MPC Darracq, back seat from a Model T and a whole variety of other model parts from my parts box. In response to a question in Dominick's recent Stutz Bearcat post I thought I'd share this. Having it to do over I'd probably adapt the Stutz fenders to this model and I would do the seats differently. That being said, this was a good reflection of my skillset at the time. Hope you like it. I think I could make some improvements. I am fortunate to have a 1:1 practically in my back yard for a reference, a car that was acquired after this model was finished. That would help a lot.
Hoffman Posted November 10, 2018 Posted November 10, 2018 Eric, thanks again for posting. I fired up my other lap top and found the photo I'd captured of your model in the past. It compares well with the full size examples. I've attached a picture of an un-restored Westinghouse from the Nethercutt collection too, which your model reminded me of. And lastly, a nice "runabout" conversion from Anthony Hazelar.
stavanzer Posted November 10, 2018 Posted November 10, 2018 Dean Milano did a conversion many years ago, in SAE. He used Stutz Fenders. And Model T touring parts, I believe. Yours certainly looks the part, and it looks like the Darracq Fenders will work as well as the Stutz Fenders. Great Job!

The Dean Milano version looks similar to a couple of the other full size originals posted above.
Eric Macleod Posted November 12, 2018 Author Posted November 12, 2018 I am familiar with "Blondie " from the Harrah's Collection. It is quite a car. Looking at this maybe its time to take another crack at this one. I like mine but clearly it leaves much to be desired.
