autotooner Posted November 16, 2018 Posted November 16, 2018 It started out life as the Revell Harley Davidson kit. The look I was going for was an old body pulled out of the woods, new engine, suspension, and wheels and tires added. The frame is scratch built from evergreen tubing. Front and rear suspension are from the parts box. Engine is a resin 427 SOHC, wheels are from a diecast. Quote
mchook Posted November 16, 2018 Posted November 16, 2018 Looks great! I'd love to see the chassis you built. Quote
autotooner Posted November 16, 2018 Author Posted November 16, 2018 Sorry I don't have many work in progress pictures, here is a picture of it after I started painting it Quote
Gerald Haney Posted November 17, 2018 Posted November 17, 2018 That’s very cool. I got the same panel truck on my bench. Not sure what direction I’m going to take it. Playing around with the airbrush a couple saturdays ago. I got 2 + others ahead of it. Yours turned out great! Quote
autotooner Posted November 17, 2018 Author Posted November 17, 2018 Thank you. Yours is looking good so far. Here's a few shots of mine with one I did a few years ago. Quote

Koellefornia Kid Posted November 25, 2018 Posted November 25, 2018 I love these panel trucks! Nice work on the frame for the rat! The yellow one looks cool, too! Quote
mustang1989 Posted November 26, 2018 Posted November 26, 2018 Good lookin' panel truck Jason. I'd love to build another panel wagon. The ideas that can be thought up for what can be thrown in the back of these things is endless. Quote
DumpyDan Posted November 27, 2018 Posted November 27, 2018 Great looking deliveries Jason, not an easy kit to look good but you did it twice. Quote
autotooner Posted November 27, 2018 Author Posted November 27, 2018 Thanks for the kind words everyone. I've got one more I put in the stash, hopefully a few years down the road I'll have improved enough to try it again. Quote
