FabbricaP Posted January 7, 2019 Posted January 7, 2019 (edited) Finally got this finished over the weekend. Revell did a decent job with this kit but there are definitely some shortcomings. The hood fitment is the most obvious one, but I'm just glad it fits decently. The door panels, particularly the tops of the them were tricky to fit inside the doors. I modified the kit supplied wheels using rudge knock offs from an old AMT 300SL kit. Happy with how the wheels turned out. Body paint is MCW Metallic Mint Green w/Tamiya clear and the interior is Tamiya TS-46 Light Sand. Overall this kit builds into a great looking model and provides a lot of room for more detailing. Besides the wheels, some engine & interior detailing and the modified grille, this one was pretty much OOB. Thanks for looking in! WIP posted here Edited January 7, 2019 by FabbricaP
beeRS Posted January 7, 2019 Posted January 7, 2019 Beautiful build there. Great photography too. I saw a 1:1 of these a few years ago at Goodwood, and thought it was such a beautiful shape. Have loved the 507 ever since. You've done the car true justice.
martinfan5 Posted January 7, 2019 Posted January 7, 2019 Super lovely, the color is perfect for the car.
Gramps46 Posted January 7, 2019 Posted January 7, 2019 Super nice build. I like what you did with the wheels.
Modlbldr Posted January 7, 2019 Posted January 7, 2019 Wow! I love both the car and your build. You've done a fantastic job with it. I need to find me one of these. Later-
Zoom Zoom Posted January 7, 2019 Posted January 7, 2019 That's a beauty, turned out great, love that color too.
MrObsessive Posted January 7, 2019 Posted January 7, 2019 Jason, that is absolutely gorgeous! One of my favorite '50's European cars! In fact, this model and your pics are so nice, I saved 'em all!
peekay Posted January 7, 2019 Posted January 7, 2019 Beautifully done all round - one of the nicest builds of the kit I've seen.
Jim N Posted January 7, 2019 Posted January 7, 2019 Great work! The paint and detail are spectacular.
vamach1 Posted January 7, 2019 Posted January 7, 2019 Not sure if I have ever seen a real one but what a neat little car. Super build and photos.
Justin Porter Posted January 7, 2019 Posted January 7, 2019 Now that is pretty well turned out. The color is really striking and appropriately 50's too.
bbowser Posted January 7, 2019 Posted January 7, 2019 Very well done! Great color choice and the wheels look good.
