GMP440
Are there any resin parts available to turn the upcoming 78 Dodge pickup into other year trucks? For example; a 72 , 73, 74 or 75 front grill to back date the truck.

440 Dakota
good to know, I've never seen one in person but thought for 9 bucks it might be a starting point, hopefully one of the 3d printer guys will step up and create a good one

camaro69
I already created different grilles for the 1/24 Revell Ramcharger. The 1977-78´s is available in 1/25 scale too (only scaled down but fits the Dodge Little Red Wagon kit). The other ones I also plan to scale down in the near future. CapSat 6
What we really need is the standard type side mirror. It looks like the new kit will have two styles of mirror, but neither of them look like this. Most of the trucks of this vintage that I’m seeing seem to have this style mirror: Edited March 13, 2019 by CapSat
dusterman
Was the only difference between '77's and the '78's was the color of the parking lights? I thought 77's was clear and the 78's was amber.

GLMFAA1
Interesting part to look at is the body piece between the grill and the bumper, Before 78 the turn signals were in the body part and with the signals in the grille the turn signals were deleted on the body part, So what part is in the new release? I noticed when going through other threads about the Dodge kits there was a box art that had both signals on the kit. Any after market parts maker need to consider this detail. On my full size '76 Rustcharger' I replaced the grille with a 78 grille and kept both turn signals greg

I found from one online source that the clear lenses were used on trucks produced until 2/1/78, then they changed over to amber, so all '77's and early-build '78's used the clear lenses. Otherwise, there were some changes to option availability, etc. between both years, but for the most part, the '77's and '78's looked the same to me.
