Alan Posted June 8, 2019 Posted June 8, 2019 Nothing wrong with that at all, you did good, I like it!
Scott8950 Posted June 8, 2019 Author Posted June 8, 2019 Thanks guys... I have a thing for altered wheelbase cars also well anything from that era of drag racing ?
TarheelRick Posted June 9, 2019 Posted June 9, 2019 Very well done. Never thought of a 64 Impala as an AWB, but this one looks righteous. Good looking paint job and decal work. Two thumbs up.
Modlbldr Posted June 9, 2019 Posted June 9, 2019 That looks great Scott. Not what you normally see as an AWB car, but why not? Later-
Scott8950 Posted June 9, 2019 Author Posted June 9, 2019 Thanks everyone.. This is not your typical awb car just something I've had in mind and wanted to try.
'70 Grande Posted June 9, 2019 Posted June 9, 2019 What are you using for the chassis underneath this project? Your body alterations look terrific!
Scott8950 Posted June 9, 2019 Author Posted June 9, 2019 i used the kit chassis. here is a early shot when i first cut the chasis before i cleaned it up. this is my first time so i learned some things i will do different next time. i appreciate the comments
vintagercr Posted June 18, 2019 Posted June 18, 2019 I remember reading article from an old Hot Rod magazine, where it think the fellow was from the east and drove his car out to the west coast with some friends to have it altered. and then drove it back. They had to dump their suitcases because there was too much weight in the trunk and it kept lifting the front end up. Look forward to seeing more progress shots.
