Claude Thibodeau Posted August 30, 2019 Posted August 30, 2019 HI! One of my favorite design, the 53 Stude... but this time, converted to a contemporary custom Roadster! AMT trash bin find, that missed the hood. Therefore, a 49 Ford unit was modified to fit, and blended with a customized front end. Rear tulip panel is made of removed roof panel. Full width flush-fit rear stoplight and custom roll pan. Extended sills, scratchbuilt door panels & console. Custom removable hard top. Tamya's pearl + Testor's wetlook clear. Stude engine straddled with custom Weber injection from 65 Grand-prix. Fully wired. Custom alum exhaust. Maisto rolling stock. Hours of fun with styrene! CT
Snake45 Posted August 30, 2019 Posted August 30, 2019 Looks like the love child of a '53 Stude and a 356 Porsche! Well done and model on!
Peter Lombardo Posted August 30, 2019 Posted August 30, 2019 Pretty cool, crazy little "pinpoint" headlights are very different. Nice color, rather subdued but fits it well. Sharp.
thatz4u Posted August 30, 2019 Posted August 30, 2019 nice work.... here's my topless Stude..http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/144745-1953-studebaker-avanti/
Koellefornia Kid Posted August 31, 2019 Posted August 31, 2019 Cool! Very nice interior and I really like the shape of the hard top!

1930fordpickup Posted September 4, 2019 Posted September 4, 2019 Very cool, not what I was thinking it was going to be.
damodelguy az Posted September 5, 2019 Posted September 5, 2019 very nice, really like what you did with the front end, also the tail light treatment, good stance. i played with one of these 53s to make a wagon. fun body lines
Howard Cohen Posted September 5, 2019 Posted September 5, 2019 Excellent! That looks like Raymond Loewy customized and modernized a Studebaker. Very smooth and sleek! The removable hardtop is a great idea!
landman Posted September 5, 2019 Posted September 5, 2019 Fantastique Claude. You kept the original lines in a fresh design.
David G. Posted September 5, 2019 Posted September 5, 2019 Very well done! Expert level reshaping and blending of panels and body lines. David G.
crazyjim Posted September 5, 2019 Posted September 5, 2019 Outstanding build. I just love the way the body curves and blends.
