BVC500 Posted November 2, 2019 Posted November 2, 2019 (edited) Started in 2011, finished in 2019! Really enjoyed building these Tamiya Aston Martin DBS models. Used a combo of Hobby Design metal decals and FG Model wheels. Painted in @Scalefinishes's Aston Martin Amethyst Red Metallic and Casino Royale colors and Tamiya TS-13 clear. CJ1971 Posted November 3, 2019 Posted November 3, 2019 Beautiful! Well done! Have built the DBS & have another/with the same after-market wheels. Just love this model year Astons ???
Rich Chernosky Posted November 3, 2019 Posted November 3, 2019 Absolutely stunning paint jobs. This Tamiya kit is one of their better ones and you have done them both justice.
Peter Lombardo Posted November 3, 2019 Posted November 3, 2019 Great paint on both and beautifully finished.
Silver Foxx Posted November 3, 2019 Posted November 3, 2019 Super nice builds , these look great , real nice window trim and other detail work .
dave branson Posted November 3, 2019 Posted November 3, 2019 Very nice builds and great color combos. I have been looking for 1 of these for a couple years with no success.
Nacho Z Posted November 4, 2019 Posted November 4, 2019 Those two Astons are absolutely beautiful!!! I love both colors. You did a fantastic job on both!
espo Posted November 4, 2019 Posted November 4, 2019 These are both great looking builds. I think the Amethyst Red color is interesting, has an almost Purple/Maroon looking finish.
Tommy124 Posted November 4, 2019 Posted November 4, 2019 I have seen quite a few nice builds coming from this kit over the years, but your two models are the best of them! Very clean builds and perfectly painted/ polished!
mrm Posted November 4, 2019 Posted November 4, 2019 Really impressive paint job on both models. The choice of colors is also fantastic.
BVC500 Posted November 4, 2019 Author Posted November 4, 2019 Thanks again! I'm tempted to build a couple more in other Aston colors that I like, but: 1) the kit is discontinued and aftermarket prices are too high; and 2) maybe I should work on the 130+ kits I have!
