Hotrod 97
I'm looking for some 14 scale inch (9/16" in 1:1 scale) torq-thrust rims for a 1966 Ford Mustang. I have some stuff to trade, so feel free to send me a PM. Or, if you know of any resin ones, please let me know where to get 'em. TIA (Pic included for reference) Edited November 16, 2019 by Hotrod
TarheelRick
In today's world of wagon wheels finding a set of 14" could be a bit tricky. A few years back I bought a set of 15" wheels for my 1:1 S-10 because 14' tires were getting hard to find. Best of luck in your search. Can-Con
Generally, the model wheels are made in a diameter to fit the tires on hand. I'd just go with whatever set of wheels looks best to you and not get too hung up on 14" vs 15". That said, I'd recommend the wheels from the Revell '32 Ford hotrod kits. They're a good looking, slightly staggered set that look the right size under a pony car or compact.
mikemodeler
ScenesUnlimited and MAD modeling both offer resin Torque Thrusts. Modelroundup also has a couple of options for wheels.
StevenGuthmiller
The AMT '62 Chevy Belair kit has some pretty nice Torque Thrusts. They are not chromed, so they require painting. I used to set of them to build a set of deeper dish Torque thrusts using parts from several different sets of wheels for my '65 Plymouth Fury. DrKerry
I’ve got quite a few sets of the ones from the 62 Bel Aire if you’d be interested in them. Probably have five or six sets or better. Send me a pm if you’re interested!
