STYRENE-SURFER
Can anyone tell me where on this master cylinder the brake line would connect? It seems kinda large at 1/25, could it be dual brake setup? I'm thinking would be just a single line out opposite end from the pedal, been wrong before.? paul alflen
I would run the brakeline to a tee then split it off the go to each side of the rear brakes. Most funny cars didn't have front brakes. google Logghe chassis and look under images.
Straightliner59
Here are a few shots of that setup, taken from the old "Unraveling The Snake Pit" article by Jim Keeler, from Car Model magazine. Text explains how the brake lines run. Edited January 31, 2020 by Straightliner59
iBorg
The line is either at the lower side or in the rear, opposite of the pedal. It is not exiting on the side of the pedal. That is a different design as shown on the most excellent Building the Snake Pit article.
bisc63
Here's one I found that uses a 90 degree fitting out the front of the master cylinder. Probably as many variations as drivers/builders.
STYRENE-SURFER
Paul, Daniel, Mike and Rusty... Thanks so much. I was thinking the brake line must exit from the opposite end of the cylinder. Those holes on the side of the brake cylinder body had me confused? They must be for alternative mounting situations. Thanks for taking the time to answer, especially adding pictures showing whats what?
