It's not something I would build, but really appreciate seeing a scarce subject get done so well!  I've lost track of "spent too much" kits, if it makes you happy, that's more important than eating lobster.  The wheels get a pass, look good with this car, the stock look with narrow tires about a foot inside the fender are not my thing.  But what is with the opera window?  I recall vertical louvers in a vertical trapezoid shape.

Great looking '73 Cutlass !  I agree that larger wheels can look much better than stock but 17" maybe 18" is the limit for me . :)

You are thinking of a Pontiac Grand Am . They had louvers. Also Slantnose Lagunas has some louvers. The Hurst Olds in 73 is the only one that had this shape window.

That's what I was thinking of, thanks for the clarification.

Wicked cool Tim.  You may have spent a lot on the kit but the outcome should soften the blow to your wallet!  You should be proud man.- Mark

I missed this one first time around. Beautiful build Tim, I love the pro touring style, this car captures the look perfectly. Great stuff!!

Very cool!

I can't say that I like the wheels, but to each his own.

To me those large diameter wheels make a car, whether a model or a 1:1, look like a toy.

Maybe that's the intention. ;)

Steve

I usually agree with Steve on this one 100%, but this is one of the very few that I think the wheels look perfect on.... Excellent choice!... and the color combo is really stunning.... Very cool, nice work!??

The only way I like big rims is when the car is looow!!! I don’t like anything bigger then a 22-23 or if the car is sky high in the air. That looks stupid to me.
