Rbray47 Posted May 28, 2020 Posted May 28, 2020 (edited) I started this kit a couple years back, finally finishing it this past March. Its built box-stock from Amt's issue of the kit. Paint is Testors Flame Red with Wet Look clear. Last pic is my current wip of an older Lindberg version. Show me yours as well. I'd love some more ideas. Edited May 28, 2020 by Rbray47
espo Posted May 29, 2020 Posted May 29, 2020 Great looking "Super Stock Dodge". I like the direction of your future build with the Viper engine.

BlackSheep214 Posted May 30, 2020 Posted May 30, 2020 (edited) That is not a 1964 Dodge Dart. I know for fact because I owned a ‘64 Dart. I'm sure you've made a simple oversight because that kit is a '65 Plymouth Beldevere. This is a '64 Dodge Dart... Edited May 30, 2020 by BlackSheep214

I didn’t know there was even another type of Dodge Dart known as the Super Stock after doing a simple Dodge Dart Super Stock search. It does look like either the Polora or the Beldevere. Again, my apologies.?

Again, my apologies.? No apologies necessary. Super Stock is actually a racing classification, so it's not a name which Dodge gave the car. There were full-size Dodge Darts up until '62, so it was possible to have a Super Stock Dodge Dart. I think the model that JoHan was trying to copy was a 440-series hardtop.

Rbray47 Posted June 5, 2020 Author Posted June 5, 2020 I'm about 95% finished with my second one. I managed to snag a 71 Duster kit to rob its 340. While it's not entirely accurate, it still looks really good. I raised the rear end and posed the front wheels. Since the 340 is a 4 speed, and the kit came with an automatic, I added the appropriate pedals and Hurst floor shifter. My kit came from Ollie's a while back when they had them for $8. Unfortunately, mine didnt have any tires. The fronts are Revell of some sort with Chevrolet rims. Rears are extras from the Amt 330 kit with M&H slicks.
