David G.
This is my version of the Moebius Models Tumbler from the movie Batman Begins. I bought this kit about seven years ago and I just now got around to building it. Due to the nature of the vehicle the kit has some unusual assembly engineering. The interior is rather well detailed but unless you plan to modify the model to allow for an opening canopy or light the interior in some way, most of the interior won't be visible after the model is completed. Had I known this, I would not have put as much effort into detailing the interior as I did. For those who may be interested, here is a link to the Build Thread. The air boxes just ahead of the rear wheels had a yucky looking mesh casting which I cut out and replaced with some old speaker cloth. Lighting this vehicle for photos was a little bit of a challenge. Being a "creature of the night", shooting it in daylight conditions just didn't seem to work. So I tried a darker backdrop and lighting that was a bit less direct. I wanted details to be visible while having contrasting shadows. I wanted lighting that was more dramatic than usual. I think I managed to pull it off well enough. Thanks for taking the time to look and please feel free to leave a comment. David G. Great build well done! Thank you Patrick. I also thought of building it with city or state police markings or maybe U S Border Patrol. If I ever obtain another kit, those would certainly be options I'd consider. David G.
