I started with the '51 Chevy Sun Cruiser kit. I bought a resin conversion kit to turn it into a '52 that had the bumpers and grill. The resin rear bumper was a short shot and the grill was terrible so I cut the center bar out of the resin grill and put it in the kit grill. I used a resin continental kit, I added a little plastic to the spare so it would sit a little higher and I used the resin front bumper on the rear, I also added some tubing to extend the exhaust. I also made new side trim.

I lowers the suspension with the kit drop spindles and de-arched the leaf springs to get the rear down and used some custom wheels and tires out of my parts box.

And no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't get the inner fenders to fit, so I left them out.

Very cool looking Cruiser. The big down fall for these kits was the way they designed the front body parts. Yours looks very clean and well built.

Superbly executed. Lovely model. You wouldn't happen to remember the source for the resin continental kit, would you?

I got it from J&J resins on Facebook.

Thanks! Looks like a good source for hot rod and American car stuff. I notice he pressure casts, usually a good sign of quality.
