Mopar - D Posted June 22, 2021 Posted June 22, 2021 I’m building Richard Petty’s race car truck and trailer with the 73 Charger. I have a WIP for the truck and trailer so far and now I’m starting on the Charger. Here’s the link to my truck and trailer build. This is my first NASCAR build and first Salvinos JR kit. I’ve started painting all the parts based on what the instructions show. So here’s what I have done so far 1
Steamboat Posted June 22, 2021 Posted June 22, 2021 Way cool! I've always wanted to do the race car hauler, but the LN 1000 cab is so hard to find. I'll be watching this one!
Mopar - D Posted June 22, 2021 Author Posted June 22, 2021 Thanks Bill , I get my Dodge LS1000’s cabs from AITM https://aitruckmodels.com/product/dodge-ls-1000/ over the years I’ve built 5 of them 1 day cab and 4 sleepers. I prefer the Frightliner COE as my donor for the frame and engine.
Mopar - D Posted June 24, 2021 Author Posted June 24, 2021 Little more progress on the sub assemblies and finished the engine. I’ve also got the body ready for more paint when it arrives.

Mopar - D Posted June 30, 2021 Author Posted June 30, 2021 My paint came yesterday so I’ve been able to make some progress on the chassis today.
Captain Spaulding Posted June 30, 2021 Posted June 30, 2021 The Charger is looking great in that Petty Blue.
David G. Posted June 30, 2021 Posted June 30, 2021 Nice chassis detailing, paint looks great too. David G.
drodg Posted July 2, 2021 Posted July 2, 2021 So curious what blue are you using for Petty Blue? Looks great btw.

Mopar - D Posted July 3, 2021 Author Posted July 3, 2021 I’m finished with the Charger now and this completes my Richard Petty race car hauler project. 2

bluestringer Posted August 27, 2021 Posted August 27, 2021 Real nice. I've got to do a NASCAR build again soon. Use to do a lot of them back in the day.
