Dave Metzner Posted August 22, 2021 Posted August 22, 2021 (edited) Here, is the New Moebius 1965 Chevy II Gasser. This is a third test shot. as of this date there is no box art, only the very start of an instruction sheet and no decal sheet. There are a few minor items to be revised before production..... BUT this is a good idea of how the finished model will look.. My best GUESS is store shelves before the end of the year.. Edited August 22, 2021 by Dave Metzner add copy.. 7 1
High octane Posted August 22, 2021 Posted August 22, 2021 Hmmmm, I haven't been into buying kits for awhile as I'm also in a building slump, however that NOVA looks like it can "trip my trigger."
Exotics_Builder Posted August 22, 2021 Posted August 22, 2021 Looking great, Dave!! Thanks for sharing.
Brian Austin Posted August 23, 2021 Posted August 23, 2021 I wonder if casters will do a resin four-door body.
iBorg Posted August 23, 2021 Posted August 23, 2021 I see a bunch of Doug Thorley Chevy Too Muchs being built!
chitownbri Posted August 23, 2021 Posted August 23, 2021 I hope the headlight area is one of the items being revised, because they're way off. headlights shouldn't protrude out like they do, plus they look a lil undersized too.
moparfarmer Posted August 23, 2021 Posted August 23, 2021 With not so much work and an interior/chassis and engine it looks like it could be made stock..W/base doesn't look altered from the stock version..going to be a nice kit..
ozmodeler Posted August 23, 2021 Posted August 23, 2021 That's a cool looking street gasser Dave ! We probably won't see it down under for a while , but it gives me some time to stash some extra green to buy a few !
Darin Bastedo Posted August 23, 2021 Posted August 23, 2021 Looks terrible. You won't sell ant you might as well send them all to me and I'll get rid of them for you...lol Just kidding it looks great, and combined with the the stock hard top or kit bashing with the AMT 67 nova versions the possibilities will be endless.
gui_tarzan Posted August 23, 2021 Posted August 23, 2021 That looks like a decent kit, but just nit-picking the opening in the hood is too far back. It would never open without hitting the scoop on the real thing, plus it makes it look like the engine istoo far forward. The headlights do give it a frog-look by sticking out like that but otherwise it is cool.
Justin Porter Posted August 23, 2021 Posted August 23, 2021 I'll be more than happy to put a few of these on my shop's shelves. On the whole it really looks great.
Len Woodruff Posted August 23, 2021 Posted August 23, 2021 The best thing about this kit is that you easily build the Doug's Headers original Chevy II funny car since this has the correct roof. All you have to do is to move the rear wheels forward. 1

Not sure about that. I'm looking at pics of the original and it doesn't seem to be a '65, but a '62-'64 body. In that case, this roof is wrong.
