Hey guys ?

This ol' girl was built before I was a member of any forum, so no construction pics. That was a while back.

Anyway, the rear deck area was shortened, and the front was lengthened at the cowl, to give the car a forward moving look,

and I left the rear fenders almost stock length, I just added a little length, so the continental kit would be recessed just a bit.

The front and rear of the car is basically stock except painting the grill and the headlight rings, and using a 1934 Ford bumper,

and hinging the hood at the front.

Same for the rear. Stock taillight rings are painted, I used a '34 Ford bumper  for the rear also, and I believe I used a 1934 Ford Continental kit.

The driver came from a diecast 1955 Chevy. I cut him up to fit inside the car and to pose him with a Pepsi can I made and painted,

and he had a cowboy hat on when I got him, so I cut that off, and molded him a hair dew with body filler, and if you look close, you can see a photoetched

pair of sunglasses in his left hand, hanging out, over  the door, LOOKING VERY COOL.

The interior is custom made, with a rare wood inserts from Madagascar, called Thua Burl, and a wood steering wheel from the same wood. I was a wood worker at one time. Loved it.

Probably more, but that's enough. Here's some pics.

Great looking Kustom body work and I like the paint. I wouldn't normally think of a two tone '40 but this really works well with everything you did to the body.  I especially like how you worked in the continental kit. Very smooth flowing lines on the body design.

That is one incredible custom- a little bit of ol' skool, a little bit of new skool, and a whole lot of craftsmanship and styling sense! You packed a lot in one little package!

Gorgeous work,  the colors work perfectly in harmony on this car and seem to help it appear to be moving ..unique

Let's see more of the wood interior !

Hi David!

Great work, the color combo is very effective, bravo!

Now, I'm curious: the IRS seems to come from Buttera's Tall T, but the IFS? Is-it from Monogram's 37 sedan, or Amt's Phantom Vicky? Or does the whole fat fendered chassis comes from said 37 sedan street rod kit?

I have to know! LOL...

Good morning Claude.

Your last guess would be mostly correct.

It was modified some, but, yes, from the '37.

It fit very nicely with a little "tweeking."

All the best

@espo

Thank you.

Yeah, I hear you on the color combo. I took a chance on the colors, with a gray pinstripe, and the tan interior. I love  contrasting multiple colors, that compliment each other, and periodically  you will see multiple color combos, up to 3 sometimes 4 colors, including the interior.

It's fun  to play with colors, and get something, that you wouldn't often see.

Super Nice! The colours, the details, the overall concept and the smooth execution.... A truly beautiful and imaginative custom build!

@Koellefornia Kid

Thank you much.

This hobby is such an enjoyment. I'm sure you and everyone agree.
