Can-Con Posted November 11, 2021 Posted November 11, 2021 Seeing as how the rerelease was just announced, I thought I'd post this one up again. It's been quite a few years since I had posted it . Curbside build with MCG photoetch set and the molded in headlights replaced. Added the sun roof and rub strips on the bumpers. 2
espo Posted November 11, 2021 Posted November 11, 2021 Great looking add on Sun Roof. I like the Low Ridder flair to this. I remember seeing many of these treated to this appearance when new or only a few years old.
happy grumpy Posted November 11, 2021 Posted November 11, 2021 Beautiful job, nice choice of colors, I remember Brown being very popular in the 70's .The interior details are really nice. it's amazing how big these land yachts were, even in 25th scale they are intimidating.
Beamerman Posted November 11, 2021 Posted November 11, 2021 Very cool! Awesome...love the color combo...
Zippi Posted November 12, 2021 Posted November 12, 2021 Yeah we've got a looker here. That color combo looks really eye catching. The added rub strips make the bumpers look so much better. Nice job on the build.
Koellefornia Kid Posted November 12, 2021 Posted November 12, 2021 Sweet looking ride! Nice interior details!
FLHCAHZ Posted November 12, 2021 Posted November 12, 2021 Wow. I love these cars, and your build is perfect
Spottedlaurel Posted November 12, 2021 Posted November 12, 2021 That looks spot-on, very nice. It really suits this look. Excellent detail work on the interior too.
Steve H Posted November 14, 2021 Posted November 14, 2021 Hi Steve, great looking build. That open sunroof really adds to the look of car. Swapping out the headlights makes a big difference also. And man…. those things are huge! I learned to drive in a ‘73 Dodge Monaco 500. Similar size vehicle, XXL … Cheers, Steve

I had one with the Landau package when I was 19. Great drive in movie car, didn't even have to put anyone in the trunk. ?
Plowboy Posted November 16, 2021 Posted November 16, 2021 That's a nice looking Caprice Steve! The colors suits it perfect! The attention to all of the little details really makes it stand out! Nice work!
paul alflen Posted November 16, 2021 Posted November 16, 2021 Steve(can-con) Is the sunroof off a Johan 76-77 Eldorado (snap kit or promo) grafted on? or did you scratch build it? Just curious. Either way it is excellent!
