happy grumpy Posted January 23, 2022 Posted January 23, 2022 From the AMT kit , stock build apart from the wheels and tires which are from Fireball Modelworks. The plates are printed from pictures found on the internet and reduced to scale. The only issue is that the top can be tricky to fit, not perfect but it looks the part. thanks for looking. 5
David G. Posted January 23, 2022 Posted January 23, 2022 It looks great! Excellent detail painting and finish. I always enjoy your dioramas too, they're a really nice way to present the models. David G.
1959scudetto Posted January 23, 2022 Posted January 23, 2022 Excellent rendition of this iconic muscle car, Mario - I see Kowalski behind the wheel and hear Super Soul on the radio (this has been my favourite car chasing movie ever since)
PappyD340 Posted January 23, 2022 Posted January 23, 2022 Super nice Challenger, one of my all time favorite movies!
espo Posted January 23, 2022 Posted January 23, 2022 Looks just like the movie car. Beautiful finishes.
happy grumpy Posted January 25, 2022 Author Posted January 25, 2022 Thank you all for your comments, I really appreciate it.
paul alflen Posted January 25, 2022 Posted January 25, 2022 happy grumpy(Mario T) that car looks like you cut out the doors then put them back on the model? or is it the black panel line technique? Nice job by the way! Nick's Garage( On UTUBE) in Quebec, would be proud of that model, since he build a real replica of the Kowalski car!

Paul, I use Tamiya panel lines, this model was done when I stated to use the stuff , nowadays I tend to use light brown for light colors and black for darker colors, I think that while still a nice model , i should have used light brown for the panel lines to lessen the contrast, ah well, that's how we learn , right ? BTW thanks for the kind words.
Geno Posted January 28, 2022 Posted January 28, 2022 Great model and a great movie, you nailed it Mario. I have the diecast version.
Rusty92 Posted January 28, 2022 Posted January 28, 2022 Really nice! I want to build another one of these. My first attempt turned out ok, but I’d like a shot at redemption.
