Mike D Posted May 10, 2022 Posted May 10, 2022 (edited) My first large scale build. Certainly a challenge with it being a kit from the 1970’s, but extremely satisfying when I completed it. Edited May 10, 2022 by Mike D 1
THarrison351 Posted May 10, 2022 Posted May 10, 2022 This is outstanding! I "built" this kit when I was a kid back in the late seventies. Way beyond my skill set at the time. I think my mom ordered it for me from the the JC Penney or Sears Christmas catalog. 1
Nacho Z Posted May 10, 2022 Posted May 10, 2022 She looks great, Mike! Am I correct in thinking this is 1:8 scale?
Belugawrx Posted May 10, 2022 Posted May 10, 2022 Excellent build here Mike ! I have the Tamiya kit staring at me from the top shelf.. hope it comes out half as good as yours... Cheers 1
Bugatti Fan Posted May 11, 2022 Posted May 11, 2022 (edited) Very nice model from that old Entex kit. A bit of rarity today However if anyone wants a 1/8th scale JPS F1 car, a brand new Pocher kit is in the pipeline this year I believe. Maybe on the Hornby website? TonyK Posted May 11, 2022 Posted May 11, 2022 You did a great job on this kit. Thanks for sharing it as it brought back memories that I built it long ago and know it never looked this good.
spencer1984 Posted May 13, 2022 Posted May 13, 2022 Beautiful job on one of my all-time favorite liveries!
jaymcminn Posted May 18, 2022 Posted May 18, 2022 I like the "race car gloss" finish on the paint. Smooth but not too shiny. Immaculate build of a rare kit of the prettiest F1 car of all time!
sflam123 Posted May 19, 2022 Posted May 19, 2022 Great jobI I built this kit (and still have it) in the late 1970's. I would LOVE to find one and build it again 1

They are available if you search and not that expensive. Plus, it will go together without having to pull your hair out.?

I'm already mostly bald, so the "pulling my hair out" train left the station a LONG time ago!!
iBorg Posted May 22, 2022 Posted May 22, 2022 This is a very nice build of what I believe is a fairly challenging kit.
