I built this years ago when it first came out as a reissue of the "Rebel Rouser". I just wanted a simple build straight out of the box. But, I couldn't stand either set of wheels that came with it. So, I used a set of Cragars from the AMT '66 Nova. I also fixed the front wheel openings as they're incorrect out of the box. Besides that, it's just paint and glue. The paint is Tamiya Gold with their clear.

For what it is, it makes a decent looking model out of the box. It just needs better wheels.

Thanx for checking it out!

One of my favourite kits, warts and all. Yours is quite lovely, especially since you'd put more effort into than you give credit for:
- Added the fender-to-cowl separation
- Added front fender-to-rocker separation
These are in addition to your other reworkings, aforementioned.

My biggest structural peeve - and it's one which dates to the 1971 original Duster annual - is the wheelbase is off side-to-side, front wheels. I mention this not as a reflection on your fantastic build, but as a general observation.

Keep up the GREAT work!

Thanx! I checked the wheelbase on mine out of curiosity and it measured the same side to side (110mms). It doesn't look out of square either. Maybe they fixed it?

Love the color and stance..You're right nice & clean right out of the box..Outstanding job my friend!!

Hi Maurice, looks like you are fairly new here, welcome to the forum. Sadly we lost Roger a couple of years ago. As you can see, he was an incredibly talented builder. He is missed by all that knew him here. Lots of great people on the forum here, check out some of Plowboys other builds, they are all fantastic, and it’s nice to see them resurface on the board.

Cheers, Steve

Roger was an awesome guy,  very knowledgeable, and always happy to answer a question, or share a tip. I miss his presence here. It is great that the body of work remains. It would be a shame if that was not the case. I encourage you to have a look at some of his other builds, and by all means bring them back up for others to see. His builds often had more work in them than meets the eye. His pro street 65 Nova comes to mind.

Cheers, Steve
