FAgri Posted October 1, 2010 Posted October 1, 2010 did the window frames, and heres a mock up with the creamy wheels also started on the interior porsche tombstone seats up front the teledials looked a little too big so...... quick mock up of the new rims, its aoshima BBS RS with stretch tyres
RTK434 Posted October 1, 2010 Posted October 1, 2010 AWESOME! Great choice of color and the BBS's look sweet on it. The interior upgrades are also coming along nicely. Can't wait to see more updates.
Roadkill2525 Posted October 1, 2010 Posted October 1, 2010 Hey Fagri, nice to see you on MCM also. Great work on the the rocco
Blake Rogers Posted October 1, 2010 Posted October 1, 2010 :( scirocco who makes this kit??? great job man i love it
seeker589 Posted October 1, 2010 Posted October 1, 2010 Yea! A 'Rocco! I had a 1:1 Mk2. Loved it - beautiful car. AMT made a kit that is still affordable on eBay. The phone dial wheels were very nice - I would try them in a gun metal or bronze color. I wanted to replace the BMW bottle cap rims I had on my 'Rocco with phone dials but the adapters cost more than the wheels I found. I have to agree with a previous poster - you can't go wrong with BBS wheels on a 'Dub.
FAgri Posted October 1, 2010 Author Posted October 1, 2010 Hey Micheal! glad to be here thanx guys for the great comments
FAgri Posted October 16, 2010 Author Posted October 16, 2010 decided to change the color of the interior after the teledials did'nt work out. tried to do a bit of a textured leather and alcantara look. didn't come out completely the way i wanted to but im not in the mood for changing it again, i have already lost interest in this build. the parts is just horrible when it comes to fitting. maybe its just my kit. not complete yet but heres a little teaser pic of the interior
slant6 Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 i have already lost interest in this build. If you want, you could send it to me and Ill finish it up for you. Looks good so far, Im a huge VW fan, Ill be watching.
Tumbler75 Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 OOooh! A Rocco! Sorry you've lost interest in it. I've been lookin' for this kit for awhile now. You are doin' a great job on it. Don't give up! I really have to say that the BBS Wheels look stunning on this! The Rocco, Jettas, and Wabbits (hehe ) are the best VW's put out that were Water Cooled. I can't wait to see more on this build. If it's getting frustrating jus' put it down, walk away, and come back when you are calmer.
FAgri Posted October 29, 2010 Author Posted October 29, 2010 thanx guys no real update, just some pics with the ATS classic wheels
davyou5 Posted October 29, 2010 Posted October 29, 2010 I really like those star wheels! And the color is most original to the car .
Railfreak78 Posted October 29, 2010 Posted October 29, 2010 Cool little project! I had an 86 Wolfsburg edition.
doublejuggs Posted October 29, 2010 Posted October 29, 2010 Those ATS wheels are looking the best of them so far.
FAgri Posted November 6, 2010 Author Posted November 6, 2010 started on the engine, trashed the 8v its a 16v now, and because its an old school car i decided to dump the injection and go with a set of weber sidedrafts. still lots of work to be done still so dont flame me yet for the ###### work. also lots of scratch build stuff here. the oil cap is machined alloy.
CAL Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 Looks good. I would still like to take a crack at Wolfenstien.
TheAzza1488 Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Love the motor and rims, anymore updates?
cruz Posted January 14, 2011 Posted January 14, 2011 Love that year scirocco, wish I had one in my collection of VW's......
