mr.camaro Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 Revells New camaro 2in1 kit. Very nicely done kit with lots of pieces. Big improvement on the concept camaro kit. Started by cutting the doors and trunk off. More soon. Thanks. Quote
martinfan5 Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 Nice job on opening the doors , I have one on the way, looks like this kit is going to popular on here Quote
mr.camaro Posted February 11, 2012 Author Posted February 11, 2012 I agree. It is a well done kit and sure to be popular with beginners to the hardcore modelers. Quote
martinfan5 Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 What are your plans for this one?, I know I want to at least get one more, so I can do a stock and custom verisons Quote
mr.camaro Posted February 11, 2012 Author Posted February 11, 2012 This one I want to build factory stock to display next to my 67. I have 2 more on order to do a zr1 powered and a custom. Quote
mr.camaro Posted February 12, 2012 Author Posted February 12, 2012 Small update. Got the basic subframe mocked up now I ran into a dilemma. Should I paint the engine factory correct or retro Chevy orange with aluminum timing cover and oil pan? Suggestions welcome thanks. Quote
espo Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 Engine color depends on what look you're going for. Personaly I like the Chevy Ornage, with the alloy heads and timeing and such. Lots of shadeing could be done. If your going for a stock car you almost have to show it as is. Might take a look at a local Chevrolet dealer to see how Chevrolet built it. It's upto you. Like Burger King, you get it your way. Keep use posted. Quote

mr.camaro Posted February 13, 2012 Author Posted February 13, 2012 I decided to go with a retro look. Had a long day at work so didn't get much done but you can get the idea Quote
