vintagestang Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 I just finished my Boss 429. The color is a light red enamel base over Testors transparent candy apple red. I lifted the rear end twice as much and used drag slicks for the back. It has a tunnel ram. This was my first time wiring a distributor (not a good job) and my first time for doing chrome trim (aluminum foil and spray glue).
Modlbldr Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 Patrick- Your photos are a bit blurry but from what I can see it looks like a clean build. Do you have a macro setting on your camera? That will help. How did your foil work turn out? I really like the Boss 429 and would love to see some clearer shots of your build. Keep up the work. BTW- I used to live in N. Arkansas around Harrison. Later-
vintagestang Posted February 20, 2012 Author Posted February 20, 2012 Thanks. My camera is old (from about 2005) and is only 2.1 megapixles. My foil work did not turn out exactly how I wanted but I will try heavy duty aluminum foil next time. My othe pictures were to large to put on here though. I'm down here in Magnolia.
Guest Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 Use Bare Metal Foil, it already has the adhesive on it, and is far thinner and comforms way better.
vintagestang Posted February 21, 2012 Author Posted February 21, 2012 I know I shoud use BMF but I am on a tight budget.
