Jason S.
Well, after taking a year off from the hobby due to a new career in law enforcement, I'm back and just in time for my local annual show. I picked up the Monogram '39 Chevy Coupe Street Rod kit a couple days ago. Since this is my first show in a few years I'm needing a little engine help. The kit comes with the 427 but I'm wanting to do something special with this car. If you guys could give or show me a few ideas I would appreciate it greatly. Thanks. Foxer
This will probably get to be a massive thread, so jumping in at the beginning. Mine are probably mostly stock SBC's, but those ARE Chevys!

CEKPETHO BCE
I'm sorry, but there is nothing special you can do with a chevy engine, in my opinion. May as well build it with whatever it comes with.
Jason S.
Thank you guys. These are all awesome. Andrew, I agree as far as parts go. I'm looking more for detail ideas. I normally don't go too in depth with engine detail since the cars I build mainly go straight to my display but since this will be my first show in a while, I figured I'll go all in since I have another month and a half to go. Jason S.
Thanks, Stu. That blue Nova is something I'm going for. Does anyone have any tips for a more realistic pulley system?
stulee11
I saw a trick were they cut the pully belt off and used either a small black elastic band or painted masking tape

Engine is the 618 cu in Chevy Big Block from Revell's shoebox 55 with a few mods: It's stil a work in progress but pretty close to being installed.
