squirrel886 Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 Like I don't have enough projects started already. Mold part lines removed, door handles filled, key locks removed, gas lid filled, and rear truck décor filled. I'll be back on the Deuces soon enough.
squirrel886 Posted November 7, 2013 Author Posted November 7, 2013 Thanks Larry! I sanded off the chrome strip on the front fenders and doors, and started on lowering the suspension.
squirrel886 Posted November 8, 2013 Author Posted November 8, 2013 ........front trim removed and hood imperfections filled.
squirrel886 Posted November 29, 2013 Author Posted November 29, 2013 Hood and front fenders shaved, and suspension lowered.
Bowtienutz Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 Looks like fun! I'll get mine and play along.
squirrel886 Posted December 11, 2013 Author Posted December 11, 2013 Sorry everyone, this project is currently on hold.........waiting for a group build to start Jan 1st.
buffalobill Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 Where did you source those chrome reversed wheels from? I'm going to follow this build when you get back on it. . .
squirrel886 Posted December 12, 2013 Author Posted December 12, 2013 Bill, the chrome reverese wheels are made by Pegasus. I'm not sure which wheels or color I'm going with yet. I just used them for mock-up.
crazyrichard Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 both look nice but the chrome ones rule best
squirrel886 Posted January 2, 2014 Author Posted January 2, 2014 Richard, I like the reverse chromes also. My youngest son came up w/ the color scheme for this first Olds build. Plus, when I build the first of any model, I try and stick w/ the parts that came w/ the kit. The next build will more than likely have the reverse chromes, and Ed Fluck Jr's interior.
squirrel886 Posted March 21, 2014 Author Posted March 21, 2014 .......believe it or not, some color landed on the body last week.
squirrel886 Posted March 21, 2014 Author Posted March 21, 2014 .......unfortunately, it won't sit as low when it's finished w/o major surgery.
horsepower Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 (edited) The Pegasus wheels are really nice, but for those that can't find them the ones from the AMT Pontiac kit are just as nice, & if you want to get technical they even have the proper bolt pattern in scale.. :-) Edited March 29, 2014 by horsepower
squirrel886 Posted May 15, 2014 Author Posted May 15, 2014 Yes, I know. Finally, interior side panels. I had a hard time figuring out what colors would work. I hope this does.
squirrel886 Posted May 22, 2014 Author Posted May 22, 2014 .......I build slower than snail snot, but it's getting there.
