kjc99 Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 I finished this up maybe a month ago and haven't had a chance to post pics till now ,been super busy lately. I built it as a 4x4 f250, scratch build the back rack and modified a grill guard from a bronco to put on it. I haven't decided on a motor yet, I've been trying to squeeze a 460 in it but it might be to tight a fit, so for now nothing under the hood. Overall I like it a lot, my first attempt at a two tone paint job and it came out great, it is a work truck though so I decided not to give it a shiny finish. Hope you guys like it.
hjracing Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 This truck looks really cool, I like it! Those tires are yhe 31-10.5/15?
Platerpants Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 ill take the 1:1 with pride and make my friends jealous. nice work.
kjc99 Posted June 17, 2014 Author Posted June 17, 2014 Thanks everyone, glad you all like it, and HJRacing I don't know what size they scale out to but they are from a cj-5 kit. I would guess maybe 31's or 33's
bogger44 Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Real nice work, Kyle. The blue and silver really suits the truck well, nice choice.
kjc99 Posted June 18, 2014 Author Posted June 18, 2014 Thanks guys, I'm really happy about how the paint came out too.
SlotDaddy1963 Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Nice work, Kyle only one thing missing... needs a bass boat behind it!
kjc99 Posted June 20, 2014 Author Posted June 20, 2014 Chuck its pretty funny you say that because as it sits on the shelf there is a bass boat behind it lol , and Chris thanks, I tried really hard to get that "real" look with it, wanted it to look like a it was a daily driver for 20 years. I was thinking that painting the grill guard black might look a little better.
SlotDaddy1963 Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 yeah, Kyle it just has that fisherman look to it... like you could stick the key in and go anywhere, any time. BTW, Where did the F250 fender badges come from?
kilrathy10 Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 Man, that's a good looking truck.....Very realistic, and the headache rack looks great.....Very nice.....
peekay Posted August 29, 2014 Posted August 29, 2014 That's a great looking truck! Very convincing weathering.
