GLMFAA1 Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 Met Randolph Mantooth (Johnny Gage) tonight and got him to sign my replica of Squad 10 As soon as he came into the room he spotted my squad collection and knew exactly what squad 10 was about Fun evening greg
slusher Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 That is so neat. You get to meet him and get your model autographed....I still love that show...
Maindrian Pace Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 Nice! We need to see more pictures of Squad 10 and maybe a description of how it was built. -MJS
GLMFAA1 Posted January 26, 2015 Author Posted January 26, 2015 Nice! We need to see more pictures of Squad 10 and maybe a description of how it was built. -MJS Here are links to Scale Firehouse site where I posted the construction http://scalefirehouse.com/sfh_brd/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=6394&p=49741&hilit=squad+10#p49741 http://scalefirehouse.com/sfh_brd/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=5976&p=48839&hilit=squad+10#p48839 http://scalefirehouse.com/sfh_brd/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=5886&p=48726&hilit=squad+10#p48726 http://scalefirehouse.com/sfh_brd/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=5349&p=47855&hilit=squad+10#p47855 http://scalefirehouse.com/sfh_brd/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=5333&p=46748&hilit=squad+10#p46748 Hope this doesn't violate this site, A lot easier to link than rebuild another article and take up band width space here hope you can see the links Thanks everyone for the comments This model is also in that other unnamed magazine model car contest issue under the NNL Toledo meet greg
Maindrian Pace Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 Very nice job, Greg. They regularly interspersed stock footage of 10 or another earlier squad responding in the first few seasons. I always thought it was funny seeing the '72 turn into a '70 and back.
explorer2770 Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 Greg. Great job on the model and congrats for meeting Randy and having him sign your models. Randy is an awesome guy, a true TV legend, and a great spokesman for the fire service. I've always wanted to build the Squad, but I've never been able to get the body dimensions right. I seem to always make the aft wheel compartments too big. Would you mind sharing your measurements to help us all build better squads? Brandon
gray07 Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 Awesome model, and great show, I watch it everyday still
k100 Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 That's too cool , EMERGENCY was my favorite tv show growing up . KMG365
The70judgeman Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 That's cool! I loved "Emergency" as a kid and have all the DVD sets so I can watch it now whenever I want. I even had the action figure set of Johnny and Roy with the Squad 51 truck.
mikemopar70 Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 Nice build of a legendary truck!! I remember watching Emergency with my dad when i was a kid, i enjoyed it a lot!!
