-
ok, guess I can post a few Mug Shots..<LOL> few years old... Me with Huggy Bear. me with Luciana Carro, from Falling Skies me with my favorite person on Earth.. my Niece.. Me with my big orange Money Pit.. <LOL> and me & my daily driver.... no, I am NOT lost in the 70s!<LOL> The John Travolta suit was for a contest I was entered in that was 70s themed, I was hoping to win a 1970 Dodge Charger!<LOL>

Built this years ago... before I could get GOOD images of her TV car.. so built it from memory and a really cruddy frame freeze... currently got another on the back burner that is much more screen accurate. <LOL> car on the show didnt have the chin spoilers, rear wing, grabber hood, and had different rims. otherwise I like the car!<LOL> It has actually held up GREAT, and still looks the same 10+ years later.

2 door hasnt been out for 30 years.. so old kit (force 440) or resin.
-
as expected, friends nova was NOTHING stock inside anymore!<LOL> Got paint and primer... and it's been raining ever since!<LOL> #@#!@$!!! <LOL>

looks like it, to me

who's talking General Lee (Except 1 photo of my real one, in the pics of my cars, and a shot eartlier.) We are talking about the Force 440 Monaco and its' later incarnations.... which does include the Hazzard Sheriff car. Ands it's Dirty Larry, "Crazy Mary"... but if you need a Dukes connection... the blond cop that wrecks.. is Al Wyatt Jr, that was 1 of his very first roles/stunts.... he later was Bo's stunt double, and jumped may cars on Dukes.... sadly he recently passed away, his heart gave out.
-
just got my parts from him today, and quality looks good. have not test fit yet, but looks good in ther box. nicely shipped, each part in seperate ziplock, then filled with foam peanuts.
-
suspect Dukes was 1st, since the 1/16 scale car came out in 1981 or 1982 (I got mine in 1982), and TJ Hooker came on TV in 1982. (Dukes debuted 1979). so Dukes, TJ, Goon, then re releases of Goon then Dukes again.... so does that mean TJ re release is next?<LOL>

define "tall bucks"? I have 1 that was opened that I am building, that came with a 2nd body.... BUT, I also have 1 factory sealed that i got about 15 years ago, and dont plan to ever build... since its factory sealed. doubt it'll be re-released, since I suspect the body was converted into the 4 door. If you look at the box art on the Dukes cop car.... it's got the 2 door rear end and side panels... except as a 4 door..

amt 70 Ford Police Pursuit car? aboutto be reissued, also. AMT/MPC Hazzard County Sheriff car -
I have a old VW Bus that I bought for a quarter, and blew up a FEW times with firecrackers (I would blow it up, fix it, blow it up and fixed it a few times.) recently found it again... thought about using it for this!<LOL>

cool... fyi.. look at it closely.... it is actually a hardtop wit the top cut off... at least in the episodes I recall. The Dukes of Hazzard (TV series) Hughie Hogg – When You Wish Upon a Hogg(1985)… Hughie Hogg – The Revenge of Hughie Hogg(1982)… Hughie Hogg – The Return of Hughie Hogg(1981)… Hughie Hogg – Uncle Boss(1980)… Hughie Hogg – Arrest Jesse Duke(1979)… Hughie Hogg

the green one is 66,000 alll original, and my good weather daily driver. the white one is being RE-Restored.... I did it in 2005, but had 3 months to get it done, so took many shortcuts in the bodywork... and they all came back to kick me in the backside!<LOL> So now trying to get rust free parts to replace parts too far gone.... but it does run and drive around the yard, when it has a good battery. the last one needs a motor, but is a rust free rolling Chassis... also got 2 68 4 door Satellites, 1 1/2 restored and 1 parts car... oh yeah... and a big orange money pit!<LOL> 4 of my 6 together that shot is about a year old, as my other barn isnt done, and the brown car was still outside.... it is now parked inside that open garage door.
-
should be seeing a facebook friend's 70 Nova today, but based on the outside pics, I dont expect much stock on the inside!<LOL> Picking up 2 paints I need today... appreciate any help.
-
neat project.... I just recently joined the board, and just read this thread for 1st time today... wish I had seen it earlier... I have a stack of Cuda kits, and might have had the 1 you wanted.... would have gladly traded for that 6 banger ya had!<LOL> got 2 "recreations of cars we owned" projects going, myself.... and 1 needs a 6 banger.... would be funny to see if anyone realizes its a mopar 6, in a Chevy!<LOL> What is that 6 out of?
-
I have a promo from 75 or 76... never seen it as a "Kit"... love to have a real one with a 400 or such in it... I currently have a REAL 77 and a REAL 78 Dodge Monaco 4 door.. and a 74 Coronet 4 door... all basically the same cars... ironially.. the 75/76s are my favorites and I have them surrounded!<LOL> But.. great when I need references while building the Goon Car!<LOL>

will keep both of those in mind. -
wow.. didnt realize I have "worked" on this for 8 years!!! Just pulled up the ORIGINAL photos and they are from 2004!! Back then it was going to be a regular Monaco.. but guess that was when I found the box of 2 bodies or so... BUT, anyways... here are shots of the interior and chassis as I was starting them, and doing some test fittings http://public.fotki.com/tvandmoviecars/automotive/models/my_models-1/sorted/dukes_model_cars/hazzard_county_patr/pro_street/

Years ago I picked up a open kit at a swap meet (I think).. when I opened the box, I was pleased to see TWO bodies in there (sadly only 1 rear bumper and tail lights).. with all my AMT Goon Cars, I had plenty of donor parts to almost build the 2nd. 1 will end up as a STOCK civilian car, but the one I am currently working on, is ANYTHING but stock... It will have a donor motor with wit a blower through the hood, chassis and proably engine will be donoted by a pro street 70 Super Bee Pro Street kit, Goon Car interior tub (sinces its a 2 door tub anyways) with racing seats, roll cage, etc... and a set of CUSTOM Hazzard Sheriff Decals and low profile lightbar of some sort.... I am calling it "Rosco's Revenge"...

Started this kit years ago, but then it got bumped a few times to the back burner.... but this week, it went back up front... Building it as my old high school ride known as "The Bondo Buggy" (Rich kids didnt know difference between PRIMER and Bondo, I guess) looked when NEW.... sadly I never got the car restored as planned.... and ended up selling it to my best buddy. (paid $300 in earl/mid 80s, sold for $200, he then sold it to another guy on payments, and got screwed out of his money when the car "dissapeared"... always wondered it's fate... sadly as a 11-12 year old car, I fear I know it's fate.) if I can find pics of the REAL car,I will post em... and will be taking pics of the model at it's current state in a day or 3.. I found 2 split bench seats in my parts box that had a similar look (cant recall if it had head rests or not.), and filled in the split for the back seat, and have it primered... had body all prepped and ready for paint.. when I noticed the 350 fender badges... that are now gone... mine was a 250 straight 6.. (which I am looking for something close or right.. without having to buy the Trumpeter 63 Nova that I would never build.) This CURRENT buildup will not have the dents and dings, primer and rust, etc.. that mine had... maybe the next one wil!? wow, hard to accept that a CLASSIC 72 Nova was only about 11 or 12 years old, back then!<LOL> Thats like a 2000 car!! Try to find one of THOSE for $300 that isnt scrap metal or a bucket of rust with wheels!! Now a 72 Nova FENDER costs more then that!!! Hoping I can do the ole girl justice.. 1 of a couple of cars from my past, that I would LOVE to find again... but never will. (Don't even know where to start, and no clue what the VIN # is/was...) Love to find my 2 Mustang IIs, but both of those went to my cousin, who later junked them.... sadly.. interiors were cherry in them, and bodies were complete.. just bad/missing motors. Also love to find my 96 Mustang... tha twas my baby, and only "new" (15,000 miles) car that I ever owned.... sold it to get married.... should have kept the car... would have cost less, and gave me less headaches!<LOL> But.. enough OFF TRACK stuff... does anyone have any reference photos of a barebones 72 Nova interior? and exterior if copper/bronze metallic?

Doing this as close to my Dad's car that he had when I was in Middle Scool, as I can..... will be posting photos tomorrow hopefully... this computer is being VERY VERY VERY slow today, and taking forever. I need to either modify the hood to a more stock apeaing one, or find one... also need a 6 banger, if I recall right... really need to talk to dad about that... he ended up pulling the motor and junking this car (cant recall why, it wasnt a bad looking car, and not in bad shape, if I recall.) Just remember the engine went into a 69 Mustang body he bought for $75.... yeah, gotta love the late 70s and early 80s!<LOL> not sure why its not letting me change the topic name... hmmm (I had the origihal thread post 3x, so replacing them with other threads... or at least, trying to.)

I built, and am building both of Daisy's Road Runners... I did her 71 years ago, but didnt have good reference pics, so got a LOT wrong.. so doing another.. also have her 73/74 ALMOST done.. also have her jeep started in 2 different scales, and have a Jesse truck started.. and currently RE-doing Boss's caddy, Cooters Tow Truck, and his pickup. cool, somewhere I have 1 molded in burgandy, that needs restored... also bought a "box" of CHROMED cars like these... also gluebombs.. never did anything with th em, as never fgured out what to do them as.. wonder if they are valuable? got a gluebomb Dodge van on the workbench currently that I am redoing in the Zombie thead... will have to keep this thread in mind, after I finish (IF? <LOL>) I finish the pile of current projects on my desk.
