  1. I thought you'd like that Greg. With my luck, if I was on a deserted island with a case of model kits, I would,'t have any glue or paint.
  2. For me,probably the last issue of the Big Deuce.
  3. That is a nice build! Did you have anything for reference,or did you just make it up? Very unusual build.
  4. Where's the giant Hershey bar?
  5. It's too bad the auto makers don't do things like that any more. Gm had a Corvette (67?) where the body raise straight up off the frame,so you could see everything underneath. They would have cars in dealer showrooms, sitting on their side,so you could see the chassis. I guess part of it is that new cars don't even have frames, and there's nothing to look at anyway... My .02 Carry on.
  6. I sit just me,or do the rear wheels look like they're Tucked in farther than on a regular wagon? If they used the Toronado rear (straight) axle,it might be a tad narrower that the drive axle of the wagon? The Toronado wheels have a different offset than the Pontiac wheels. On another note about those airport wagons. I saw on the net, somewhere,a Cadillac car hauler. It had the tandem axles like that. Here,I found some. I guess the others are just trailers. The Chevy truck must have a Toronado or Eldorado drive train.
  7. it happens to everyone sooner or later. It's usually the carpet monster that loves plastic. Let me know if you find the taillight for my AMT 50 Chevy pickup. Good luck!
  8. Good point. I wonder if some of it was licensing fees? when A TV show is popular, they're going to want more money for fees and the legal stuff. Maybe it was just the people who worked for the model companies.
  9. I was wondering if they just took the front sheet metal from a Toronado and put it on the wagon? Or would that even fit without seriously mods to the radiator and other underhood parts? and yes,it's ugly.
  10. I'll be watching this with interest,William. I'm working on a 1/8th T too. not nearly as ambitious as yours though. Good luck and keep us posted.
  11. They might be. I'm not familiar with the 34 Ford kit. Those wheels were used in other kit's too,but they weren't around in 1962 when the pickup came out. I don't know if they were going for a 'total retro' kit or what. But they should have put the custom tires in there, too. it's not like I have a bunch of those tires laying around...Oh,I guess I do. LOL
  12. One thing about keeping it 'vintage'. The 1962 version didn't have the chrome reverse wheels,so they didn't need the wide tires. Somebody dropped the ball on that. Otherwise ,a really nice kit.
  13. I always liked the 904 too. Good luck!
  14. Those tires are in the Ford Model T double kit with the chopped coupe I believe. Very cool. No custom tires? That is strange.
  15. Bill, You have way more talent and patience than I do. My hat is off to you. Can't wait to see the finished museum piece.
  16. Plastruct does and I'm not sure about Evergreen. It comes in different scales too.

Very cool! What are you painting it with? Acrylics?
  18. Nice attention to detail and really clean.
  19. Has anyone got theirs yet? I'm curious about the pad printed tires that come with it. I suppose they'll be narrow whitewalls...
  20. I just thought of 2 related kits I would love to see updated. AMT1967-72 Chevy pickup with a detailed frame/chassis AMT 1972 GMC Stepside with the same. A short bed Fleetside would be nice too.
