  1. 1/8th scale - Any C1 Corvette VW Beetle - No,not the new ones 32-34 Ford PIckup 50 Chevy Pickup 49-51 Ford Coupe ,Sedan, Convertible, wagon I know, not going to happen..
  2. People that think model building is 'kid stuff' are a little behind the times. From what I've seen and heard ,there aren't that many kids building models. It's not the 60's. A lot of builders now are the 'boomer's like me,who built back them. And at $15 to $25 for a kit,not many kids can afford it. And I was wondering what 'normal college activities' were? Around here it seems to be binge drinking and falling from 2nd floor balconies..
  3. I don't understand how it got into storage in the first place. Sitton said he bought the car several years ago. Did he put it in storage then? The storage yard would have had the person's name and number who brought the car to them. But they searched and found the proper owner. My head hurts. We need Perry Mason on the is one. You beat me to it Harry. lol
  4. Where America shops - Ebay. $150 for the shell with bumpers and grille.
  5. Looks like something from Space 1999.
  6. Very nice! I don't recall the how to draw articles in Cartoons. Do you have any?
  7. Soon the long wait will be over...
  8. That is truly amazing! Anything is possible. I've seen some 1/8th 55 Chevy bodies for sale recently.
  9. I get a lot of my supplies from Model Empire or the 'Bay. There's no Hobby Lobby or LHS near here.
  10. If he's a good frind of yours, you could tell him that there is a lot of time (and expense) involved in building. Have him pick one that he really likes and offer to build it for a small fee. I've built models for free for a couple of good friends and coworkers of mine. Just a few models-not 10. They liked my builds, and they liked building models, but didn't have the time or place to do it. I didn't mind doing it,and it really paid off later when another coworker gave me a huge box full of models and kits that her son didn't want any more. I took one of those kits and built it for her son. A Plum Crazy Cuda. He loved it.
  11. Isn't Norm Grabowski credited with being 'The father of the T bucket" because of th 'Kookie' car? It was in episode of Peter Gunn too.
  12. Great build! That engine would be a tight squeeze in there.
  13. How old did you say you were JB? I can't do anything without mine. But my vision is bad to start with. Yes,I am addicted..
  14. Yeah,me too. In to a brick wall to put it out of it's misery.
  15. Yes,it seems a little strange to me too. No current pictures. That much money and selling it on Ebay? I can't imagine what the Ebay seller fees would be. They've gone way up lately it seems. They're killing me for some little things I sell. Any Corvette is out of my price range anyway..
  16. Wow,that takes me back. At the very bottom, there's an ad for the Schiwinn Varsity 10 speed. I had one of those in 1990. Rode it all the time, great bike. I liked the ad for the Monogram 55 Chevy too. I got one of those for Christmas back then. .
  17. I'm quoting Wile E. Coyote here - "Genius , pure genius".
  18. Great idea. What happened to all of that brandy? Hmmm?
  19. That's the way you do it! lol
  20. Wow,I've never seen a Corvette built by a 15 year old. My apologies to the other 15 year olds..
  21. Is it like the Fall Guy truck? I have the reissue of it,but haven't built it yet.
  22. I get the feeling that the Chinese don't have designers. All they can do is copy. Look at all of the guitars they make that look like American brands. I wonder how many of them have permission to do that?
