  1. I know this is a model CAR forum but I really do not want to make a whole new account on a gundam/armor forum. On my gundam (chars zaku 2) the right arm broke. And I was wondering what way you guys go about replacing parts?
  2. When talking about molded plastic what does flash refer to? As in "there are several knockout marks and a little flash" when referring to the parts on a spruce. And also what are knockout marks?
  3. Oh nice I'll do the dull coat with a little dry brushed brown/tan that's a great idea. I want it to be real subtle though like a daily driver kinda car. What else could I do? Besides the windshield.
  4. For my 68 mustang I want to keep it looking clean but I still really like weathering, I was thinking making the windshield a little dirty. How would I make it look just a little dusty in the parts the wipers can't get to? And what else could I do to keep it clean but weathered?
  5. Well I did the clear coat so it should dry while I'm at work. Should I do two coats? I am kinda pulling it off slow. It varies. Is there anything else I could do? Maybe a way to lower the tack on the foil?
  6. I like how the first car posted is rusted on the body yet it's super glossy and has perfect non-rusted rims, etc.
  7. Okay so clearly bmf is the correct route, but something interesting happened lAst night. As I was cutting a piece of foil off the car it lifted some paint off with it. It looked just like it had before so I realized I hadn't been scratching it, it was just pulling paint up. How can I stop this? I painted over the parts that got pulled up and added a laquer clear coat. Will this be enough to protect my paint?
  8. Trying to decide whether to use this bare metal chrome adhesive foil or paint the parts that are supposed to be chrome. The window trim could be fairly easy but the sides would be hard. It's a 68 mustang so it has that cool swoopy silver lining on the side near the side scoops/vents. I tried the chrome foil before and scratched up the car so bad I had to strip the paint and repaint it. But I think I could learn from my mistakes. What do you guys think? I there any other way?
