Hey guys, well i wanted to build another pro street car, so i took an old build and rebuilt it! I am new to styrene so i thought i would try and build a few things on this one. I made the roll bar, steering column, exhaust. Simple to you guys, but i gotta start somewhere! I have plans for better ones! I cut out the center console, flocked it(3rd try at this stuff) my friend sent a hemi(offset to the passanger side) from a gtx kit i added a few wires, may add a NOS set up, and more wires, added tubbs from a chevelle kit, suspension (was missing parts so i made em) cut out the stock hood scoops-vents, added a scoop) and sanded off the vinyl roof. This was my first multi colored paint job(5), and yes it has flaws! But i tried new stuff, and had fun! Just a street car, maybe take it to the track, add slicks and have fun! Just watch out for speed bumps! Thanks for looking! What i started with.....

Thanks, We have a 68 camaro, and 2 70 cudas, and a 73 barracuda. My dad had a 67 in high school, i am building his old car now, about half done!

Well, i have posted this build on a few sites, i wondered how long it would take to get this reply! Yea it is a big cowl hood, or "monster" as you say, but it was my first one, and it had to be that big to clear the carbs. It is a model, but i guess these guys that race real cars and have hoods, blowers, etc. as high or higher, "hope they get the right lane" also. I just got a couple but have seen some even higher. After seeing some of these mines not to high after all!

Well thanks! glad ya like it, i had thought about how to build this for awhile, and like you kept saying naw, then i decided what the heck! lol! I found the scoop in my parts box, not the one i wanted, but it will work!
-
Thanks guys for the nice replys! Dirk, thanks for showing me that! I wish i would have seen it when i was building mine, it does look like it!

Yes, this is a linburg kit, the stock one, not a drag race version.

Just finished this today, another quick build. From the box, i added a scoop, and changed the wheels and tires. I took one of the interior as i was building, but forgot to take one after i was done. I painted the valve covers and air cleaner body color, something different, but i hate it now! I am going to repaint em. I am finally happy with the shine on the paint, new stuff to me, but painting it outside, with a spray can and no polish, i like it! I am going to take some new pics at sundown, just playin with the camera! Thanks for looking! after seeing the tail lights in this pic, i fixed em!

I had an old body, i stripped it, and was just painting it for paractice, well my wife seen it and loved it! She said i had to make it for her, so i had to find the stuff to build it for her. I had a new interior, and a frame, i stole the other parts off old builds, built it in 6 hours last week! She loves it, and wanted me to post it. Thanks for looking! more to come...

These were for the thunderbird, had a blue strips with em also. I don't think there slixx, i would guess fred caddy maybe, there pretty old looking! Not sure, sorry i couldn't help anymore!

Thanks guys, so i guess you can see it? I can't, or any other member s posts, can't get in to my bucket either?

Thank you guys for the comments! cotto, well i see were you may say the rear tires are to big, with the int., and wheels, it may look like a pro touring car, or something, i wanted a pro street car, with a little pro touring in it, that is why i used the bigger wheels, and the big rear tires, something different. Pro street is my favorite, i have 40 built cuda models, and just wanted a different one! With smoothing the body, i wanted a different look, hence the wheels! I think the rear tires are fine, thats how the pro street cars are, and why i love them! But like i said i am not sure on the wheels, and front tires, i may change them, who knows! Just haven't found anything else to put on it! But thanks for the comment!

Hello, i was playin with the camera today, and thought i would post this build i did in December. I shaved the drip rail, filled the valence panel seems, marker lights, bumper bolts, gills, exhaust cut outs, etc. Tubbed it, and did my first flocking on the int, added some speakers, floor mats, decals, all new stuff to me! I wanted a dark green paint that looked black in different light, and it turned out pretty good! The paint is duplicolor spray paint. And for painting it in 20 degree temps, it turned out pretty good, no polish, yet, but i am going to try ! I am still not sure if i like the wheels, my wife picked em, they may change! The paint is hard to get a good picture of the green color. I added some plug wires, nothing fancy, but better than nothing i guess! Thanks for looking!

Hey guys, well i finished this a few months ago, thought i posted it, but i can't find it, so here goes! i built a camaro about 7 years ago, gave it to my little brother, i was visiting and seen it, i said if you let me have it, i will build ya a better one! So tried! I took the old kit, and used a 55 sportsman chassis, engine, etc. and made my first cowl hood with styrene. I showed him and he loved it! I am not to happy with the fuel line and fittings, tried some stuff and well it didn't work to well! But he likes it so thats all that matters! Thanks for looking! What i started with.... what it turned into....

Hey guys, well just finished this, just a quick build. Fire fighter kit, with some old decals i had. Nothing fancy, just trying out some new paint, trying to get good for some other builds! It has its flaws, but the shine is coming around, and with no polish i am happy. thanks for looking!
