  1. Seems like everyone has beat me to the accolades for this build, but I will repeat them anyway. That bodywork is flawless, and I really like the color you chose. The concept is futuristic, except Ford has introduced a 4-door Mustang in their EV line. However, yours looks 100% better than the Ford monstrosity.
  2. Really like the looks of this build, that color fits the Chevy body style so well. Interior color should look just right for this build. I have this kit in my stash (older version). I have one question: what fills the floorboard area from the firewall back to the front seat? That is part of the reason mine is still on the shelf. Maybe I missed something when I looked through the kit?
  3. Definitely a different concept. Very nice clean build, really like the paint.
  4. I finally got my Pinto back from the upholstery shop, he did an excellent job. One of my parts cars has the 3-spoke Ford GT steering wheel in it which I think will look better in my driver. Went to Harbor Freight and bought one of their steering wheel pullers. Used my other parts car as an experiment to make sure the puller would work. No problem the steering wheel popped right off, same with the second parts car with the GT wheel. Put the puller on my driver, began cranking on the center bolt and one of the side bolts stripped out. The kit has two different size bolts so I took the larger one, drilled out the hole, tapped it and tried again. Again it stripped out the hole. Drilled in a bit deeper, retapped, tried again, same results. I have been fighting this thing for four days. I have tried u-bolts around the steering wheel arms, through a 3/16 steel channel, it bent the steel channel. I straightened out the plate, welded some reinforcements in place, tried again and it cracked the steering wheel arms. As I see it my only option now is to swap steering assemblies with my parts car. However, I will also have to use the parts car ignition key because to remove the ignition key/lock mechanism requires the steering wheel to be removed.
  5. Excellent Pro-Stock build, and as it says on the door a "Super Clean" build. Really like these older Pro-Stocks.
  6. If it wasn't for the brick in the background giving away the size, this build could easily pass for a 1:1 Nova. Very cleanly built and outstanding detail work. Also, welcome to the forum.
  7. You will probably have to make one. As far as I know that particular decal is not in any kit or on any aftermarket decal sheet.
  8. Evil, wicked, mean, and nasty. Excellent Gasser build, probably my favorite of all time drag-racing classes. Really like the FORD power, must be a high-dollar team to afford one of those. Attitude and altitude are perfect. The only thing I see missing is one of these: decals. That would fit right in to A/G class, maybe B.
  9. I bought one of these from WalMart, it was priced fairly low, so I figured why not. You have done some very nice mods; it no longer looks like a cartoon. Very nice, clean build.
  10. Looks hot and fast, ready to terrorize the 1/4 mile. Very nice, clean build.
  11. Excellent work on this SC/Rambler. Also partial to this paint scheme, although the one I built is the A scheme. Tried to do the B scheme but the decals I had rolled over on the long side pieces. Also had trouble with the A decals folding under on themselves, so I masked and painted the A scheme. I really like the arrow on the hood.
  12. Excellent build of a modified coupe. Couldn't help but notice the rough body work around the roof line door jamb and the scale thinness of the rear wheel opening. Realism at its best, some mighty fine work.
  13. Looking really good, nothing like a '55 Chevy gasser except maybe a 40-41 Willys. One area you may want to address are the mold lines that run from the bottom of the headlight buckets through the parking lights. Keep those updates coming really love those Gassers. SEGA rules.
  14. This and its many variations are my favorite kits. And yes, as the others have said the front axle is in the wrong place. As for the metal axle, when I built mine I put the wheels and tires on a I put drop of superglue where the axle comes through the brake plate, let it cure really well than snipped the axle out between the inner sides of the brake plate. Fairly simple fix and not noticeable when the model is finished.
  15. It is a cool idea. However, this one has too many vents to suit me and those pregnant rear quarters are a bit much.
  16. Looking forward to this build. I love lead sleds, especially the medium radical ones. Going to be fun watching that top chop.
  17. Saw three '66-'68 Chevelles running nose to tail. Not sure where they were heading since I was going in the opposite direction.
  18. Depends on the team and the specific era. Some teams painted them to either match or contrast the car color. I don't think I would use an aluminum, but then it is your build, so use whatever looks right to you.
  19. Will Nicole Kidman be his main squeeze? I really liked her in DoT.
  20. That is one bad-a$$ gasser. That short wheelbase and big engine would make this a handful. Really like the overall build. Did you build the headers or are they from a kit?
  21. Alright, someone not afraid to modify an untouchable Ferrari. Don't see many, if any, customized/modified Ferraris, glad to see one. And this one came out quite well. Nice paint work and bodywork to put those two completely opposite bodies together. I like it.
  22. PM sent
  23. Looking forward to these builds, big fan of the Ford Race Team.
  24. Very nice-looking rig; aggressive but not over the top.
