I've built a few of these kits now and have had no trouble with them gluing together, some have had fit issues where the bonnet won't close due to the engine being too high. The only proble I had with this one was getting the tires on to the rims. I just finished the LC Torana and I couldn't get the spare tire into its location in the boot.

Here is my latest build finished. A Carlile Heavy Haul load. I used 2 Kenworth T-800's, 1 as the lead truck and the other as the push truck. Both have lots of scratch built parts on it. I completely scratch built the trailer, booster and load. The whole model is 6 feet long.

My first build for the year. Another Holden HJ Sandman in factory color. And my 3 Holden Kingswoods together. All are plastic model kits made here in Australia by DDA Colectables.

Here is my latest build a Carlile Kenworth W-900 with a tanker trailer. I used the Revell Kenworth W-900 kit as a donor. Converted the hood from round headlights to square headlights. Scratch build tool boxes and headache rack. Aftermarket sleeper. The trailer is the Revell tanker trailer. I put on the third axle and a steerable lift axle. Also scratch built the mud guards.

Here is my latest build a Carlile Kenworth T-800 in Heavy Haul configuration. Some of what I did using the Revelle W-900 kit as a donor. I extended the Chassis, changed the engine to a Cummins Signature. Scratch built headache rack, tool boxes, chain hanging racks over the fuel tanks. I plan to scratch build a trailer and load for it. once that is done I will do the final weathering. The last 2 photos is what I am planning to build when it is finished.

That turned out really well. Like the weathering. -
Back in 2021 I started a tribute build for the 20th anniverssary of 9/11. I have been building the FDNY ambulance and fire trucks that would have attended to the World Trade Center. For the fire trucks I used the Trumpeter American LaFrance Eagle kit as a donor. Everything except for the cab has been scratch built. Rear body, ladders, rotator boom outriggers and everything else which all moves as it should. They also all have working lights and sirens. Here is photos of the build in no particular order so you can see the amount of work that has been put into the build.

Send me a PM with your postage details and I will post it to you. It will be coming from Australia so it will take 2 - 3 weeks to get to you.

So I Started a tribute build for the 20th anniversary of 9/11. I used the American La France Eagle kit as my donor kit and completley scratch built the rear body and ladder. The ladder is fully functional: extends, raises and lowers as well as rotates. It has working out-riggers to stablize the truck and fully working lighting system and sirens. Iam also scratch building a fully working FDNY Tower Ladder truck and FDNY Ambulance as part of the tribute build.

Here is my latest build. a 1/16 scale Kenworth W-900. This is a rebuild of a 1:25 scale truck I built as a teenager in 1994 that I no longer have.

Hi all, Over Christmas I decided to build 2 of the AMT Watkins Kenworth W-925 with a theme. New vs Old. One is brand new straight off the production line. The second is the same truck at the end of it's working life after been driven 1000's of miles across the highways.

Hey all, Here is a diorama that I recently finished building. We have the General Lee jumping the river from the opening credits of the TV show the Dukes of Hazzard season 3. I still have the base to build yet which will have audio from the show playing when you press a button. Scott.

Hey all, This is my first time posting in the car section. Anyway I have built an old police car that has been left abandoned in the dessert for years with lots of decay and weathering. Scott.

Kenworth Airbag suspension diagram
AussieTrekkie replied to AussieTrekkie's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I found this article but it was so blurry that you couldn't read any of the writing in the diagrams. The links you posted were so clear it is just what I needed to help me with it, so thankyou. Scott. -
Hey everyone, I am planning to super detail a Kenworth K100 and W900 Chassis with all the airlines. I have a diagram for the braking system, so that's no problem. I just need a diagram for the airbag suspension that shows all the plumbing from the air tank, to all the valves including the height control valves and to the airbags. Does anybody have a diagram I can use to assist me? Thanks. Scott.
