  1. Very nice, I had this kit and like a fool sold it a few years back, I recognize those decals too, they are from the RM 68 Firebird kit. Looks superb and I love the realistic load in the bed.
  2. Welcome to the forum boi !
  3. Nice work love the 68 Chargers, have one in the stash to do at some point, like the colour too
  4. Very very nice, love the paint , I built this one years ago mine also had the suspension issue, I think AMT over-engineered the steering/suspension set up. You have done a superb job
  5. Very very nice Richard, colours are superb
  6. Looks superb in that colour, nice clean build.
  7. Thanks for all the kind words guy's, its a kit that definitely needs work to get the best out of it, I think its a backdated version of the original 72 Chevelle kit....I could be wrong, but I enjoyed building it, even the old decals laid down nice.
  8. Thanks guys, its my first completed build in over a year
  9. Super clean lines , love it
  10. Just finished this one (well it does need a little touch up her and there), its the old AMT 1970 Chevelle SS454 kit, chrome was awful in this kit so I did the best I could with what was there, the paint is a Ford silver from the 70s, GM colours are not east to find in the UK so you have to use a bit of modellers licence Lol. I Didn't over detail the kit, its straight outa the box. Turned out ok, a few little faults but I'll live with them.
  11. Mine would be a small collection of AMT/MPC & Revell built ups all from the early to mid 1960s. picked up the lot for £12 ($18.75).
  12. Heard through a friend that a guy in the same village had a few old built up kits he was going to throw away, and they were mine if I wanted them...........very happy I picked them up.
  13. Totally agree with all the posts, Revell's customer service is fantastic,I'm in the UK so I didn't know if Revell would ship to me, I'm working on a 59 Impala kit that had a cracked windshield, I emailed them and received an email response yesterday to say the parts on its way, may take 4-6 weeks but either way I'm very happy.
  14. Here's my contributuion to the thread, I built this one about 8 years ago from a sealed AMT 75 Pinto kit, Built completely stock, with the 2.0 OHC engine and a nice shade of green to give it that 70's feel !
  15. Nearly finished on this one, this is the mid 80s re-issue of the old trophy series kit, which went together pretty well considering the age of the moulds. Shot with flat black paint with the blown Olds engine from the original kit. Just thinking wether to put some drag decals on or not?....maybe some moon eyes.
  16. thanks for the kind comments everyone, think I need to sort a photobucket account though these pictures are too small.
  17. Hi everyone this is the first time I have posted any pics of my builds, I have just got back into the hobby after a few years, getting better all the time but still nowhere near as good as some of the amazing builds on here but its all about having fun right?. The origins of this kit are from the mid 70s AMT Ford Disco Van, however my kit had a few parts missing (bumpers being the main), So I have used my imagination, grafted a front pan on from styrene and used some 70s era mild custom wheels with a funky purple metallic paint job. Still not finished yet but its pretty much there .... Sorry about the photos....dodgy camera
  18. Dave I think that is one of the best build ups I have seen of the Tamiya kit, very very nice !
  19. I think that is a really clean build, great paintwork love those old El Camino's, add a bit of silver trim and it will be perfect.
  20. Hiya all, this is my 1st post here, so hello to you all. I have in my kit stash the following kits which I am looking for the approximate value and rarity. I'm from the UK and don't have access to the Bill Coulter price guide which is a shame, just hoping somebody can give me some more info on these kits. AMT 27 Ford model T Firetruck (street rods series, build as a custom or stock fire truck) AMT 70 Chevy Impala Fire Chiefs car (Looks like the same box art style as the early La France kits) Amt 70 1/2 Chevy Camaro SS396 (looks like the 1st issue kit with vinyl roof full frt bumper picture of drag version on box) All these are not shrink wrapped but are complete and unstarted. Thanks in advance Gary
