  1. Thankyou Eric, I custom mixed the colour with cheap craft acrylics and finished it with a coat of kleer.
  2. Thanks Tulio, I've seen your black one before its a great looking model, believe it or not I used no foil on this one.....
  3. Couple more photos
  4. First model off the bench from me for 2017. This is the old AMT annual kit of the 1962 Buick Electra hardtop, it's built pretty much box stock except I added a prewired distributor and a top radiator hose made from electrical wire, I also removed the typical annual kit screw posts from the radiator panel. Apart from that I just used simple paint detailing. I hope you like it, it was a fun build, comments and critique welcome.
  5. I ordered back in May and received my last order 2 weeks back, just a small bunch of parts to complete some old built ups, as always the parts are 1st class. it made me feel sad when opening that little white box that it would be the last time, but the guys have to enjoy their retirement.
  6. I was convinced that 1st photo was of the real truck !, this has to be the best I have ever seen this kit built, absolutely awesome standard of work.
  7. Looks good with your subtle mods Ron. When I saw the green built up version on the forum (the one thats on the side of the box) I noticed then that the ride height was way too high, flipping the spindles has cured the front issue hopefully the rear can be adjusted just as easy. My kits on the water as we speak, really looking forward to getting it.
  8. Very kind thankyou. I normally struggle to build 6-7, I must have been on fire this year Lol !
  9. Thankyou for all the kind comments guys
  10. Some absolute beautys there Tulio, you know Im a big fan of your work, that Ford Chassis is one of my favourites !.
  11. Always look forward to every build you do Steve, your work is very inspiring, 3 of the best this year for me mate !
  12. Now that is a great save!, very nice work Snake she looks awesome.
  13. A very good year for me 14 builds completed, thankyou for all your kind comments this year on my posts, and I wish you all a very merry Christmas and all the best for 2017!. Click on the photos to get a proper view...for some reason Photobucket screws up the aspect ratio sometimes,
  14. This is probably my rarest built kit, certainly not the rarest I have in the stash but the AMT 68 Corvette is not one you see everyday, this one was boxed as a FROG/AMT kit, they collaborated on a few kits in the late 60s for the UK market, that certainly makes it rarer than the AMT annual. Hers she is out of whack body proportions and all ! Lol.
  15. Its definitely my goal to finish every kit I start, and I do usually do just that, I work on a maximum of two kits a time, I may fiddle around on a third. But finishing them is very important to me I get really itchy about stuff not being finished. Probably the only time I break my completist rule is when I have a major paintwork ****up that I cant fix quickly .....then it goes back into the box until I can be bothered to deal with it again.
  16. That is by far the best Ive ever seen that old AMT kit built, stunning paint and very crisp foil work, I always look forward to your build Peter and this one is just perfect.
  17. Kits moulded in coloured plastic I really hate !.
  18. Not all Brits speak that way Snake, there's a huge variation in regional accents in the UK, unfortunately a lot of other countries think we all sound like someone from London.......not true. Im from way down the south west of England, our accent pronounces there "R's" quite prominently.
  19. This is exactly what I do almost to the letter !
  20. Id be very happy with that Carl, its a beauty, I agree these old kits really can be a pain in the rear sometimes and I often swear that this AMT kit will be the last I ever do.....I still come back to them !. Superb work !
  21. Being in the UK Im already used to these prices and it doesnt really bother me too much, if I can afford it Ill get it.I have a pretty reasonable stash (170 odd kits) but I love the new US releases/re-releases. The average price of an AMT kit over here is the equivalant of about $38-40, I can save myself a few pounds if I buy direct from Tower Hobbies but theres always the risk of customs charges. In comparison Japanese kits are a lot cheaper to buy here ...but I have zero interest in them. Oh and gas in the UK is about $6.30 a gallon !!
  22. You can see the passion you have for these cars Tulio in every one you build, 3 beautiful cars
  23. Thanks Rex, that clears a few things up. Kerbside sounds the way to go on this one I think.
  24. Thanks Danny, Ill keep these numbers to hand, I should be getting the Bronco in a few weeks .....If Father Chrismas thinks Ive been a good boy ! Lol
